This nursery is nothing short of outstanding as far as we're concerned as a family! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for every single child in their care. They are especially wonderful with SEN children and accommodating their needs too. My son has absolutely thrived here and his experience has encouraged us to actually keep him attending until he is of compulsory school age because the place, environment, people and all-round care is second to none. The Manager is one of the most authentic, thoughtful, compassionate and creative people I have ever met. The chef is also phenomenal at ensuring any dietary requirements and needs are met and children do not feel left out. I couldn't be happier and more comfortable knowing my children are being cared for, loved and nurtured at this wonderful nursery. The nursery environment is beautifully thought out and enables children of all ages to learn, explore, experience and grow wholly. Simply cannot recommend highly enough!

Absolutely fantastic nursery! The staff are so caring, friendly and attentive, and my daughter is always so happy to go in. She has come on so much since starting, and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. Highly recommend!

My daughter absolutely adores going to nursery here, she has come on leaps and bounds since being here. She loves all the staff and has a good relationship with all of them. The nursery itself is calm and homely and has a great outside area which im always hearing stories about.

The management is great, the staff is incredible and the chef is a star. Honestly my daughter has now started eating lumpy food and different variety of food. She comes home and there's always sth new that she has learnt at nursery. Leela and Katie are superstars and I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of our daughter. They always give her one to one care of she needs it. She has learnt new words. They always keep us updated about her and telling us every time she learns sth new. Constantly send pictures and videos. Fabulous

The children enjoy going to nursery and have also built good working connections with the staff. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly in all rooms. Everyone always has a smile on their faces and it feels more like a family than just a nursery. Thank you ladies!

The staff here are genuinely so loving and caring. They really do go above and beyond for the children they care for. Cannot fault a single thing they do! They have such an incredible bond with my daughter. Treating her with the same level of love and care in which they would their own children!

My daughter loves nursery, she goes straight in in the morning and starts playing. Staff are always friendly and make you feel comfortable with leaving your children in their care. I'd definitely recommend Nurtured, the nursery itself is homely and the activities they get up to are amazing - my daughter always says that she has enjoyed her day.

Nurtured@Wakefield is a truly wonderful place for our son. He has made great friends with all his peers, and really likes all the staff who are attentive to his needs and of all the kids. The food is varied, my son eats well. The way they play as a group outside in particular is lovely, their play space is beautiful.

The updates on the app are clear and helpful, and they do a great job giving us fun interactions such as little videos of the activities, which are plentiful.

It started with the settling in session, I thought we were going to struggle with transition, so I sat in with her and she stayed in my lap mostly, exploring the room but always coming back, staff kept engaging with her but never tried to lure her away, recall this first meet, then they had a little huddle for songs and to my surprise she got off my lap and nestled on a lovely carers lap, she checked on me intermittently but never came back to stay with me. It was unreal for me to watch but my heart was at peace and it has been since. I'm up to date with her meals, what her day was like, I get to see what she likes..it's a truly phenomenal team they've got, didn't even mention how stress free it was enrolling her, the admin staff are phenomenal too. I know I'm gushing but you would too with this team. I'm thrilled she's so comfortable there.

Overall excellent nursery! I've tried and tested loads of nurseries throughout the years and this one is by far the best! Great communication from staff on little one's day, lots of activities and never had any issues. Keep it up!

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been so caring, patient, and genuinely invested in our son's happiness and development. He has settled in beautifully and absolutely loves going in, which says everything as a parent.

The team create such a warm, nurturing environment and always keep us well informed about his progress, activities, and milestones. It's clear how much thought and effort goes into helping the children learn, grow, and feel safe and confident.

We couldn't recommend Nurtured @ Skelmanthorpe enough as a nursery, our child is well supported, cared for and has just thrived since starting there. He always has lots of activities to enjoy each week and always is happy to be there. The staff are always amazing with keeping us updated with how our child spends his day through observations and picture updates, which always makes us feel so happy to know he's having such a wonderful time.

I was very nervous about her starting at nursery having poured my heart and soul into her care. We wanted the best for her and handing over her care three days a week initially felt quite scary.

Today I received 3 or 4 updates - I have friends in another local nursery who receive 1 every 3-4 weeks!

Our little girl started at 9 months old in June 2025 and absolutely loves going to nursery! She had a short while of being unsure but the staff in the baby room went above and beyond to help her settle. The communication is excellent, we receive updates throughout the day and photos at the end of every day so we know what Nancy has eaten, how long she has slept and all the fun activities she has taken part in. There are lots of themes and events to keep her stimulated and learning, the meals are varied and balanced and she always gets involved in everything! The baby team are a huge credit to the nursery

Nurtured @ Skelmanthorpe is absolutely wonderful. The staff are so caring, friendly, and genuinely interested in every child's wellbeing and development. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can really see how much thought goes into the activities and learning opportunities each day. My child loves going and always comes home happy and full of stories about what they've done. The communication with parents is excellent too - you always feel involved and reassured. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough!

All of the team at Nurtured Skelmanthorpe are amazing. My son joined later on than most children, and I was amazed at how quickly they got to know him and worked out exactly what was needed to help him grow and flourish. They put a lot of effort, care and thought into everything that they do, going above and beyond what would be expected. My son loved going every day, and I always knew he was being looked after by people who genuinely care.
