Excellent nursery, every child is treated with kindness and the children receive a great level of care. My child is extremely happy to attend this nursery and always comes out with big smiles, he looks forward to his nursery days. I'm kept updated via the app on what he's eating, nappy changes and his
sleep times, pictures are posted everyday so I can see my child learning and engaging in educational activities. My child is also under speech and language and I've seen a huge improvement since he has attended explorers. I've had family attend this nursery too and can only say good things. The staff and mangers are lovely, they Ensure every child is prioritised and all children are treated the same. Will always recommend to anyone who is looking for a place for their child.
Thankyou Explorers for continuing to ensure my child is happy and safe at all times.

Honestly can not fault this nursery.

My daughter attends and the nursery are amazing. Her transition wasn't the easiest but they supported her every step of the way and worked alongside me to ensure we were settling at her pace. They also reassured me when my daughter was upset during drop offs.

She

is always well cared for, changed regularly and the app is updated every day before she leaves nursery. The staff are really good at encouraging independence and I have noticed a big change in my daughter. While at nursery my daughter has a pe lesson each week and a counting kids session at no extra cost and these are defiantly something she looks forward to.

The staff are nurturing, attentive and supportive and my daughter looks forward to her nursery days to see her teachers.

Something that really stands out to me is how well they know my daughter. Every pick up they tell me something funny she has done that day or something she has done well as well as expressing any concerns.

My daughter started explorers in April 2025. She could only say 5 single words on her first day. And a year on and still at the nursery. She has come on leaps and bounds. She knows all her friends names at the setting she can count 1to10 she now can tell me what she wants where before was a struggle..
I'm so grateful to all the staff at explorers for all the support they have shown me and my daughter.. and all the continuous work that has been put in place. This is a great place for your child to develop the skills they need before they move on to reception at infants school.. explorers is a little second home to my daughter she Frist in and lady out lol so I would recommend this setting to everyone. That's thinking off a nursery for there child or children

Our son has been attending Explorers Gidea Park since January 2025 and there has never been a single occasion of dissatisfaction of any kind. The manager, Leanne is exemplary in her approach, she is kind friendly (always upbeat, laughing and smiling), accommodating and super supportive, I do not know
how she does it, always promptly responding and reassuring. The entire team is kind and they simply provide a superior space for children's growth and development in learning through play. Our son loves going here and he cannot wait each morning (5 days a week) to go in, that for us is all the evidence we need of what a lovely place this is. Raddika, his key worker, is always kind and supportive she understands our child well and always has a smile on her face. Overall we are very grateful to the team and all they do and cannot thank them enough :)

We're so happy with this nursery and the wonderful care our daughter receives. The staff are warm, nurturing, and genuinely dedicated to the children's development and happiness.

She has grown so much in confidence and independence since starting, and she comes home excited to tell us about her day.

The environment is safe, engaging, and well organised, and communication with parents is excellent.

We're truly grateful for the amazing team and would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

My son this year will be sadly leaving Explorers. When he first joined Explorers he he had difficulties talking and understanding (late learner) I was so worried about him as he is very clingy child and very picky eater but Explorers is like a second home for him and the only place he is comfortable
without me. He has developed so much and learnt to try to eat new foods he has started talk and I can see the huge development. I just don' t know how we will cope without Explorers and we will certainly miss the staff. Everyone gave extra care and attention.
Reply from Richelle Cook, Director at Explorers Collier RowWe understand how emotional this transition can feel, and we're so proud of how far he has come. Seeing his growth in confidence, communication, and willingness to try new things has been incredibly special for all of us.
We know how difficult those early days can be, especially when a child feels unsure, so it's wonderful to hear that Explorers became a place where he feels safe, happy, and at home.
He is going to be so missed by the whole team, and we're sure he will continue to thrive in his next chapter. Thank you for trusting us with his care and development-it's been an absolute pleasure to support him and your family

Such a lovely nursery. Nice separation by children's age and ability. One visit and I knew it would be right for my child. The staff manage transitions well. Communicate well. Share regular photos and updates. You really feel comfortable with leaving your child with people you know care for them in
a space the kids enjoy. Only 'downside' is replacing lots of messy clothes but it honestly reflects in how many wonderful activities they get to do. My child's speech, development, potty training. Everything. Has been so well supported by everyone who is part of the team at collier row explorers

We've had a really positive experience with this nursery since our son started. Like many toddlers, he found the initial settling-in period emotional, and as parents we were naturally anxious but the team handled it with so much care, patience and professionalism that it made a huge difference for us.

The staff took time to understand him as an individual, supported him through separation, and built trust at his pace. He now goes in happily, talks about his day, and clearly enjoys the activities and relationships he's forming there.

Communication has been excellent. The app updates and observations are genuinely reassuring and help us feel connected to his day. We also really appreciate the support with his language development (we're a bilingual family) and the collaborative approach with routines and milestones like toilet training.

Most importantly, the staff clearly care about the children. We're very grateful and would absolutely recommend this nursery.

Reply from Richelle Cook, Owner at Explorers Elm ParkThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review.

We know how emotional the settling-in period can be - for both children and parents - so it means a great deal to hear that you felt supported and reassured during that time. Helping each child build confidence at their own pace is so important to us, and we're delighted that your son now comes in happily and is enjoying his days with us.

It's especially lovely to hear that you feel connected through our app updates and observations. We believe strong communication and partnership with families is key, and we're so pleased that this has helped you feel involved in his journey.

Most of all, your kind words about our team mean everything. We genuinely care about every child and feel privileged to be part of their early

I have two children attending this nursery and the care and education they get is outstanding! I had my older one attending another local one in the past, and only now I realise what I missed by not choosing Explorers from the beginning. I am very impressed with all the work they do getting them ready
for school, from learning numbers to learning the alphabet and writing. The other nursery had no such activities.
The staff is experienced and qualified and very friendly. They update the app constantly and parents are able to see what the children did, had for meals and so on, every day. I also love the fact they don't constantly feed the kids biscuits for snacks and avoid sugar.
As someone who has tried 3 different childcare providers with my first child, I can definitely say Explorers is top quality!

Unfortunately didn't have a good experience here. Manager here was not very friendly. My daughter used to be very unhappy here so im so glad I took her out. She used to come home very unclean you can tell they didnt take care of her (nose not wiped and all dried up!). She is in a much better nursery
now.
Reply from Richelle Cook, Director at Explorers Gidea ParkWe're sorry to hear that this was your perception of your experience, however we do feel it's important to clarify a few points.

At our nursery, the wellbeing, hygiene, and happiness of every child is our top priority, and we have strict daily care routines in place, including regular checks for cleanliness and comfort. Concerns such as a child being sent home unclean would be taken extremely seriously, yet no such issues were raised with us at the time. We always encourage open communication so matters can be addressed immediately and appropriately. Our management team works hard to maintain a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for both children and parents, and we're disappointed to hear that this was not reflected in your experience.

We're pleased to hear your daughter has settled well into our other setting and wish her every happiness there. Should you wish to discuss any concerns further, we would be open to doing so directly.

We have had such a positive experience with this nursery. The staff are caring and attentive and always go above and beyond to support the children. My daughter especially thrived in her final year as she was preparing for primary school. She was given homework books, weekly reading folders and writing
practice which really helped her transition confidently into reception. There are also plenty of varied activities that kept her engaged and happy every day. I am very grateful for the dedication of the team as they truly set children up for the next stage of their learning.

For the past two years, Gidea Park Nursery has truly been a second home for my twins. They have learned so much and grown beautifully with the support of the wonderful staff. My daughter, who is autistic, has been given a safe, caring, and encouraging environment where she was able to progress and thrive.
The team have always been patient, kind, and dedicated to the children's needs.

My son has been attending Explorers Elm Park for the last 4 years and it has truly been the right choice for our family. He has developed so well in such a nurturing and simulating environment and has come along leaps and bounds, socially and emotionally.
The staff are kind, nurturing and caring,
everything you want a nursery team to be. The team know every child's name, they communicate well with us parents and provide regular updates on how our child is progressing.
The team set up themed and fun activities every day and there is plenty of free play where the children can decide their activities based on their own interest. The children have regular garden time and trips out in the local area. The nursery often gets external partners to come and teach the children skills like music, yoga and phonics.
My son looks forward to nursery every day to see his friends and teachers. We would whole heartly recommend this setting for anyone looking for a great nursery for their children.

Our son started nursery shortly after his 2nd birthday, and it was a challenging time for both him and our family. He was very anxious, and the transition was not easy.

The staff at Explorers, Elm Park were incredibly patient, supportive, and understanding. They made every effort to accommodate his

needs, including adjusting his days and hours to help him settle in more comfortably.

Just two months later, the difference is remarkable. Our son now walks into nursery with a smile, looks forward to his time there, enjoys a variety of foods, and has started building lovely friendships. We've also seen a noticeable improvement in his speech and confidence.

We're so grateful to the team for their care and dedication during such an important time in our son's development.

our son has been in Explorers since he was 10 months old and the caring and nurturing environment is exceptional. We were nervous about sending him to nursery but they've made the adjustments so smoothly and look after him so well. They are quite responsive to his needs and ensure that they communicate
any changes to us in a timely manner. Loads of activities during the day and he seems well stimulated- on pick ups, he's very happy and chatty and usually has 'upgrades' that he's picked up from nursery.
