We really can't think of a better place to start a child before school, we have always felt so happy leaving Ailsa there as we know she'll be loved, nourished & pushed when needed.

Staff retention is another major concern. When our child first joined, there were five long-term, experienced staff members; now, after four years, only one of them remains. This high turnover clearly affects the quality of care and continuity for the children.

My son has developed really lovely relationships with both staff and other children who attend and certainly enjoys his time there!

My daughter has been attending the pre school for the past year and they have been amazing with her. The level of care from all the staff is outstanding and I know she is in good hands from the minute I drop her off. They have really taken time to get to know her and guide her in her development. The communication is great so I am fully up to date on what she has been doing each day. She is very happy there and enjoys all aspects and varied activities the pre school offers. I will be sad to see her leave for school. I fully recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a caring, friendly childcare.

We are leaving Bristol in the summer and have had to try and find a nursery in our new city that we like as much - Hillside has set the bar pretty high! We will really miss the Hillside team and their excellent care.

My daughter started at Hillside when she was 9 months old and I returned to work after maternity leave. Everyone at Hillside made this transition a smooth one and were incredibly understanding and supportive. My little girl is now 16 months old and has settled very well, thanks to the good work of the staff. Who are kind, caring and understanding. I have noticed her time at Hillside has had a truly positive influence on her, particularly in her interaction and play with other children. My little girl has formed some lovely relationships with the staff and clearly enjoys her time at Hillside. The activities and play the children have the opportunity to take part in are fun and interesting and there is a really nice sense of community with the children, parents and staff. I would recommend Hillside to any parent looking for a nursery for your little one.

We were very lucky to find this nursery when we moved into the area. The staff were very welcoming and our eldest settled quickly (who is now at school). Our youngest is very happy in toddlers and is always keen to go in. The staff do all sort of activities and are keen to know how he's developing at home which they incorporate into his planning. The garden facilities are great and they like to go on walks outside the nursery. Top marks!

Hillside has shown real dedication and commitment to supporting our son with additional needs. Their regular communication has enabled them to support our son's progress in speech and walking, with staff attending specific training to further understand how they can best support his progress.

Our son has been very comfortable at the nursery from day one and really enjoys the activities, especially forest school, where students explore and learn outdoors. The staff are always friendly, approachable and comprehensive in the reports for where our son is progressing and his areas for development. They strike a great balance of care, fun and education.

The managers and staff are welcoming too, you can approach anyone at any convenient time and they will give you their time and act upon your comments.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was 11 months old and he is now 4.5 years old, he absolutely loves all the staff here and enjoys going to nursery. He goes here 5 days a week and never comes home in a down mood, they always ensure they do various activities and ensure that you are up to date with your child progress. He has come on leaps and bounds thanks to their help and he will be sad to move on to school in September from here, This nursery was recommended to me and I would most defiantly recommend them to anyone.
