I would like to thank everyone at The Rocking Horse especially The Rainbows girls, who have all looked after & cared for my son. I really appreciate the kindness everyone has shown to my son and my family.


I have to give a huge shout out to Caitlin, my son's number one. Caitlin has not only helped

support my son but also myself with the transition of leaving him with non family members, she has made this experience comfortable and reassuring. I would 100% consider bringing my second son to The Rocking Horse when needs be and would do the next time round with complete ease and this is all down to Caitlin. Caitlin has helped with my son's confidence, toilet training and eating (My son was very fussy and barely ate). Caitlin would also ensure to send me updates and photos all throughout the day, which I really appreciated & looked forward to.


My son loves Caitlin to pieces and mentions her all the time when not at nursery to everyone. Thank you Caitlin!!!

My child has been with Kingfisher House Day Nursery since Dec 2024 and I cannot praise the nursery enough. I can see how invested the team are in promoting and encouraging my child's development. It is an incredibly nurturing environment and the team really do feel like family to us. As a parent who
has a lot of trust issues around nursery settings from a poor experience with my child in a different nursery, Kingfisher House have completed alleviated the anxieties I had because I can see how happy my child is with them, how much they care about him and how he is thriving. I love to receive the picture updates of what he has been learning and exploring during the day as they are always setting up new experiences for the children. I genuinely cannot recommend Kingfisher House enough.

My daughter has attended Kingfisher House from a baby. She is now in their pre-school and she has absolutely loved it the whole way through. Her key workers have been nothing short of amazing from the baby room right up to the pre-school. Our experience here has been immensely positive, and when the
day comes I know she will be very sad to leave.

Have kids in preschool and baby room and staff are fantastic. Really helpful and always available to discuss anything we need.
My only slight negative is the structure under SY4C often means we end up either not getting as much communication regarding changes in staff or things if that nature and also
directing questions about payments etc. to the wrong people as there is no phone number available to speak to the head office.
Ive reflected the above in the management rating below, although it is not directly linked to the day to day management of the nursery
In terms of the care provided to the kids though I cannot fault it.

Amazing nursery.

Every day I know he's had a great day. The ladies are amazing with him.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 2, going from stars to buddies.
The staff are amazing and get know each individual child.
I can not fault one of the staff at all. She is brilliant with the kids. My daughter loves her. You can tell she really cares and loves her job. She is an

Like any parent I was nervous to put my daughter into nursery, we visited afew and instantly knew Rocking Horse was the place for my little girl. The first few drop offs she was upset which made me feel awful, however the updates from the staff and pictures on the app reassured me that she was having
a fantastic time! The staff make so much effort with the activities for the children and keeping them busy through out the day!
I can't thank the girls in baby room enough for all they do they are amazing and I couldn't be happier with the care they give to my daughter she is so happy there and is thriving x

My son started at this nursery in March 2024 and for the past year I have noticed a massive change in his development, he is now completing 35 48 or even 70 piece jigsaws without any help. His communication has developed impeccably too. My son has also made a lot of friends as he has become more socially
involved.
The staff have helped massively with any concerns we have had regarding personal issues, potty training and other issues or concerns we have had.
When I go to collect him on a Friday evening he is either outside as he really enjoys outside play, depending on the weather, or he will be in his room enjoying games and playing with friends.
The staff are friendly, always greeted with a smile, I get a full days feedback about his meals, how he's been and what he's enjoyed doing during the day.
I'm very glad my partner and I decided to move him from his previous nursery.

Both of my children went (and my youngest still goes) to Rocking Horse. The staff have always been nothing but amazing, friendly and welcoming. I know that any child that is left in their care is treated as one of their own, and as a mother I don't think you could wish for much more. I can't recommend

The worest nursery ever, my son is vegetarian and I mentioned that in the application, but he asked me to change that if I need them to try other food and I did, but unfortunately it was a trap as they kept offer him the usual daily food (chicken nugets, cheese sandwich...etc.) and he refuse it, they
never try another food and keeping him hungry until reach home around 6pm. He used to go directly to the kitchen crying and pick anything in front of him from his usual food. Over than that what it makes me took the decision to withdraw him immediately from the nursery is when he came with a bite mark on his face! Terrible experience.

I was very concerned about my child being in a nursery environment. As days passed I have witnessed to her interactions for different activities in nursery. It is nothing but involvement of baby room staff. Me and her dad will always be grateful for your contributions in her journey. The care and attention
the baby room staff were given was exceptional. Since my daughter was a complicated kid staff were needed more patience and care. They absolutely loved to do it happily and they were always ready to be trained for her. The attitude of her looking after staff made us hesitant to drop out from nursery. We know she will miss you for sure.

My child was in this nursery from 9 months to 3 years. From start to finish she has been well taken care of by each room's staff.
I would like to say that her focus team member in Rainbow Room is a great credit to the nursery and one of the reasons I did not take my child out of the nursery when I
learned of there being a couple of instances I was not happy with.
Stars Room has truly been an amazing room for my child to grow, the most personal of all relationships between staff and parents I have felt. So much care and attention was given to my child, along with all the other children.
I have marked cleanliness down for the fact I feel that the outside areas could have better upkeep from external help, not against the staff upkeep at all.
I have marked food, due to the drastic difference from when my child started here, she was having variance and substantial meals, now the children are on pre-ordered meals that my child has not enjoyed at all.

My little boy absolutely adores going to nursery here and I feel so happy knowing he's being so well looked after and enjoying his time here. My 1 year old loves Rocking Horse. He has been there since 4 months old and I have never been worried about him there. The staff are all so lovely and my boy loves them to bits. He is there a lot so they are like family to us. Any queries I have are always dealt with and communication is easygoing as
staff are so kind and will accommodate anything as best they can. Only reason not giving 5 stars is because there was a rocky time last year when S4YC took over and families and existing staff noted that the policies were very different and it has taken some getting used to, especially financially as prices went up and there was some difficulties with the new payment system. The booking system is also quite different as we use an app, but it can be clumsy. It is due to the exceptional staff and their care that my son remains at this nursery. I cannot fault anything except for the technical issues.
