Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust manages three OFSTED inspected nurseries within the Brighton, Hove and the Crawley areas.
They pride themselves in offering first class, quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years.
Nurseries are all OFSTED inspected. Copies of the inspection reports are available on the internet. Please visit www.ofsted.co.uk for more information.
All nurseries are workplace nurseries, primarily for parent/carers who are employed by the NHS and some community places for children from the local area.
They work in partnership with the NHS ‘Improving working lives’ intuitive’ scheme and the ‘Recruitment and retention’ strategy to help parent/carers return to work.
Staff are aware that juggling a career and a family is never easy, therefore they are committed to supporting parents that have carer responsibilities, to enable them go to work knowing their children are happy, safe and having fun while learning and developing.
They work in partnership with our parents and the local community, enabling parent/carers and children to feel valued members of the nursery. They aim to care for our children in a calm, caring, safe, loving environment. Where they can grow and develop into caring young people.
To enable parents to leave their children with the knowledge that their children are learning in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.
They work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to ensure that they have equality of opportunity for all children in their care.
The nurseries provide a wide range of experiences, and activities, that support, and challenge, children's learning, within the Early Years Foundation Stage learning framework. Each child has an individual Learning Journal, and activities and experiences are personal to each child.
