My son has been attending little pumpkins since he was 8 months old and he is now soon to be three! Since giving my trust in them to watch my son 4 days a week they have been fantastic, the ladies really care, are engaging and make it as fun as possible for all the children with creative and pro active
activities. I'm impressed of how much he has learned since attending. There was some staff changes last year but the team they have now are very strong and reassuring. My son has never been upset or unhappy to go in and loves it! Thank you all for all you do - love Ashley, Joe and Cason!

He learns, he laughs, he plays all day,
Little Pumpkin is the best--Hip Hip Hooray!
Little Pumpkin is the only place where my son happily waves goodbye to me...and sometimes forgets I exist for a full 5 seconds!

I am extremely concerned about the lack of transparency at Little Pumpkins Nursery. A safeguarding incident took place in the preschool room and parents were not informed at all and that the police are involved. Heading this from parents is completely unacceptable and goes against the basic expectations
families have for communication and safety.


There also continues to be serious instability within the nursery. Managers keep leaving, other staff are following, and this constant turnover is affecting the quality of care. It's becoming harder and harder to trust the leadership or get clear answers to important questions.


On top of this, there seems to be more focus on money than on providing a stable, safe environment for the children. They have even lost a nursery that was already rated "requires improvement," which raises major concerns about how the organisation is being run overall.


Parents deserve honesty, consistency, and a childcare setting that puts children's wellbeing first

We take all comments seriously and were surprised by your review, particularly as we supported your family with relocating to another nursery, provided a full deposit refund, and transferred your funding to ensure a smooth transition.
The closure of our other site was a separate business decision and is not connected to our East Croydon setting.
Regarding safeguarding, we followed our strict statutory procedures. Ofsted have since visited and were satisfied with our processes.
We have also remained in contact with you about your child's transition and sharing information with the new nursery, and these concerns were not raised with us at the time.

ZERO STARS IF I COULD
If you love your child, stay away from Little Pumpkin Nursery.
I waited to write this until my son had finally left because I was scared. Now I feel responsible to be honest.
Management is chaotic, with constant staff turnover and no consistency. My son hated attending. Children
need routine and familiar carers - this nursery offers neither.
The app is misleading. It regularly contained false information, especially about meals. Days my son ate nothing were logged as "finished all food." When questioned, management dismissed it. This isn't poor updating - it's dishonest and misleading.
The nursery is disturbingly secretive. A serious incident involving the police occurred and parents were not until someone posted a review on another platform.
Care was poor. My son often came home in wet clothes and socks and was constantly ill. On one occasion he was sent home in the wrong nappy size, causing rashes and red marks. This is basic childcare, and they failed

My son has attended since he was 11 months old and Little Pumpkins has been such a supportive and important part of our lives. He's now 2.5 years old, and he enjoys it and learns so much - he's always coming home talking about all his friends and we know the lovely staff are very caring and nurturing.
The children have lots of fun, they do cooking and dancing classes, and staff tailor activities towards the children's current interests. The menu is fantastic and the wonderful on-site chef does an amazing job of serving nutritious meals that our son always eats All+ of! We really recommend Little Pumpkins.

Little Pumpkins is the most caring and nurturing nursery. We couldn't be happier with it! The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to support my son, allowing him to flourish in all areas. My 4yo son has been attending Little Pumpkins for over a year and he simply loves it. I can tell he feels safe and confident when he's there and I saw how his creativity and speech articulation have been improving since joining the nursery.
The staff are amazing, dedicated and always attentive to the
needs of the children. The facilities are clean and adequate (I am always impressed by the level of tidying and cleanliness for a nursery when I enter for parent events).
I absolutely recommend Little Pumpkins.

Very friendly stuff always helpful! Our daughter loves to go to nursery, every morning she runs to the staff. We are happy with all the activities that they doing for the kids. We can see a lot of improvement in our daughter every time when she comes home from nursery. 100% I would recommend!

Our son went to Little Pumpkins from the age of 1 and left just before he was 3 as we were sadly moving a bit further away. The staff have always been so wonderful and caring towards him and his language and development came on so much after starting. He loved the food and the activities and we got
to see photo updates of his day through the app. The management team are fantastic and always available if you need to speak and it feels like such a personal service. They all took so much time getting to know him at the beginning and helped him settle in quickly. It’s a really personal nursery where everyone from the key workers to the owners knew our son really well. We were so sad when he left as they’ve been amazing.

My little boy has been at Little Pumpkins for just over three months now, since he was eleven months old. He absolutely loves it! He has the biggest smile on his face in the morning at drop-off, and it's a testament to the amazing people who work there.
The staff are excellent, in particular the member
of staff from the Little Teddies room, who always gives us such a thorough update of his day and you can see how much she cares for the children. The manager is fantastic. You can see at pick up/drop off how much she engages with all of the children from the different classes and manages to have a personal connection to them all. She takes the time to talk to you about your child's progress and is great at communicating via the app if needed.
We couldn't be happier with our nursery choice, and I know my little boy feels the same! It's a joy to see him so happy there, and the progress he's made since attending is amazing. They teach him so much! Highly recommend.

My son attended this nursery from 1-4yrs and only left this summer, ready to start school. My 20-month-old daughter is currently there (and has been since 10 months old) so we’ve been there through the change in management.
The new manager is so approachable, enthusiastic and incredibly friendly. It
feels like a new nursery under the new manager's leadership. She goes out of her way to get to know and help families, making it feel so personable - exactly what you want for your childcare setting.
The whole team of staff there are always brilliant at drop off, ensuring they welcome the kids each morning with open arms (which makes it so much easier on a stressful commute).
My son adored the staff in the preschool room, as well as his previous key workers, and my daughter is always very happy to go in each day.
The app, used to update us on our children’s day, is always up to date and provides us with daily photos.

My daughter went to this nursery for about 1.5 years. She saw many different staff members and management due to the high turnover. She became regularly unhappy to go and the new faces every week did not help this. The staff were very unhappy, the children were unhappy and the level of care was low.
It had such great potential to be a very good nursery however there were many management issues and this caused my child to be regularly distressed. They said they had this everywhere however other nurseries I visited had a way lower turnover of staff which spoke volumes. My daughter now goes to a much better nursery and the change in her energy to go to the new one has been amazing. I would not recommend this nursery at all.

Amazing staff, our son was very shy at first, but to our surprise, it took him less than 4 weeks to settle in (only three days a week at that time). The progress that he made is evident and we are very happy with the loving care that he is receiving. We get regular updates on his activities, and the
nursery has weekly surprises and fun pass times for the children. Our son's English is now becoming clearer than his native language and this is one more important acquisition since he started nursery. The meals are cooked on site, and he seems to be having more appetite there than at home. We highly recommend this nursery, with its skilled and lovely staff.
