Our little child started nursery when he was 11months old and had a quite complex heart condition. The compassion and determination from the Boys and Girls Nursery Stanmore to cater for his complexities and ensure they could take our son on was brilliant. Even before he started they went over and beyond
to speak to all of the healthcare professionals to ensure that they could fully cater for our sons needs.
From Amy and Chloe and Sharon for all the admin things to get him over the line. From Rachel and team in nursery where they got him turning over (even though he was months delayed) to then crawling and walking. To then Lisa/ Amelia and team in pre-toddlers post his operations helping him build the strength to do all of the activities and become a chatter box. To then Sinead and team in toddlers to then prep him to join his new school. We cannot thank you all enough for your efforts, we as a family are truly grateful and happy that Boys and Girls Nursery was his first academic home.

Our little began nursery at 11 months and is now fully enjoying the baby room at 15 months.

he is well taken care of and in the safest hands.
We feel our son has really developed in the baby room. Each day they set out activities which are so thoughtful and encourge learning and motor skills etc.
They have a lovely cosy indoor space for the babies and an outdoor space specifically for the babies too. The nursery is very clean.
The menu is varied and great and he has really developed self feeding skills since being there.
It really is a home away from home for our son.

I looked around for a nursery quite a lot and was pleased to find boys and girls. Having worked in a nursery many years ago I had some idea of what I was looking for. My daughter started at 8 months, so I could return to work full time. I really feel lucky and thankful for everything the nursery has
provided and the caring staff. I can go to work and not worry. Her key worker, helped her to settle and was very attentive to her, and also communicated closely with me to help her settle smoothly. I get daily updates and pictures.. which is really lovely. Most of the time my daughter eats all her food and they manage her naps really well. I also get updates about activities, which are varied and engaging. I don't know how I would manage with out the nursery. Thank you to boys and girls and all the staff.

Since starting at Boys and Girls Nursery Watford, my toddler's vocabulary has improved considerably. She has learnt new things about the weather, fruits etc. They might seem like little things but she was just babbling when she arrived the nursery and in 3 months she's already stringing sentences like
"Mummy, it's raining. Umbrella?". She's always excited to be there. I really appreciate the efforts by the staff at the nursery.

Both of my children attended Boys & Girls Nursery in Stanmore and we could not have asked for a better start to their early years. The warmth and kindness of the staff made them feel at home from the very beginning, and the level of care has always been exceptional. The team are not only nurturing but
also highly professional, creating an environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to thrive.
We have seen our children grow in confidence, independence and happiness thanks to the wonderful attention and guidance they received here. Our little one loved his time at Boys & Girls nursery in Watford. It was his first time away from us and so was naturally hesitant at first but, with the care and guidance of his key person and all the other staff at B&G Watford he quickly settled in, made friends and looked forward to his days there.
Her particularly enjoyed the various creative activities they do each day and he loved his time outside in their outdoor play area. The food is very good and and we appreciated the daily updates and photos the staff took time to share via the App.
We are happy to recommend this nursery, the children are well cared for and engaged in fun learning activities.

Our daughter has thrived at Boys & Girls for the last 2 years, having spent time both in Toddler Room and Preschool. We felt she was looked after well and had enough age appropriate activities which kept her engaged , from cutting up their own salad for lunch to weekly external phonics session and music.
She made many friends and had a good relationship with the staff. I feel the staff are caring and warm towards the children. We really valued the daily communication whether it was through the app or at pick up.
The front desk staff were always warm and friendly which made pick up and drop off more relaxed.
I would highly recommend Boys and Girls Nursery in Watford to parents.

I couldn't be more impressed with this nursery! The level of care and attention the staff provide is truly outstanding. It's clear that the team is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children. My little one has settled in so well and looks forward to going

Another huge plus is the location - it's incredibly convenient, being just a short walk from the underground line. It makes drop-offs and pick-ups so easy, especially during busy mornings.

We had a wonderful experience at Boys & Girls Nursery in Watford, where my little one attended for a year before we moved to their Stanmore branch due to a change in job location.
The team in Watford is absolutely fantastic - friendly, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable. They made us feel welcomed
and supported from day one, and my child thrived in their nurturing environment. The staff always took the time to get to know each child individually, and their genuine care and enthusiasm really showed.
I'm grateful for the solid foundation they gave my little one, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a warm and professional setting for their child.

Both of my children started at Boys and Girls Nursery around the age of 1, and we've had such a positive experience. The nursery is always clean and well-organised, and the staff are incredibly caring and attentive. It's clear they genuinely love what they do.
The activities are fantastic and so
thoughtfully planned - they've really supported our children's development in such a fun, engaging way. Most importantly, they are always so happy to go in and come out smiling. It gives us real peace of mind knowing they are in a safe, nurturing environment where they're thriving.

My son joined Boys and Girls nursery back in January 2025 when he was just 6 months old. After a lot of consideration, we felt that Boys and Girls in Stanmore was the perfect fit for him. Myself and my Partner viewed many other nurseries within the local area and nothing came close. His Key worker and
all the staff within the baby room has made this transition run smoothly. We are forever thankful to the nursery and its team for making our son feel safe. Our experience with this nursery has been largely disappointing. While it has a small outdoor garden, many other aspects fell short. The toilets were frequently unclean, and general cleanliness across the nursery was poor. Staff changed nearly every month, creating instability and inconsistency for
the children.
More concerning, there were often too few staff members for the number of children, which led to multiple incidents where our son was hurt due to lack of supervision.
Staff were often outside on cigarette breaks, leaving children unattended.
He was frequently bored and unstimulated, receiving little to no individual attention, which forced us to put in extra effort at home to keep him engaged.
The only truly positive part of our experience was two members of staff in particular -kind, dedicated, and generous individuals who genuinely cared about the children. They were the heart of the nursery.
Unfortunately, without major improvements, we cannot recommend this nursery to other families.

It gives lot of peace of mind when I know that my daughter is in a caring and safe environment and I would highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you to the wonderful team for everything they do!

I am a new mum and was on mat leave for 1 year. My baby did not settle well when we started to put her in another nursery in Nov 2024. I had lost hope and was not prepared mentally to continue work. We decided to switch her nursery to Watford Boys & Girls in February. Since then, my baby has been settling
well, still having emotional moments here and there, but overall she accepted the nursery and she was greatly supported by the staff in the baby's room. She progressed to eating and enjoying her time away from me. The nursery manager along with her key person had a chat we us after her two months, and suggested ways to work together to make sure she is settled well. We followed the suggestions and we see so much improvement. I am extremely happy with the service I get from Boys and Girls and recommend it to all new parents.
