Day Nurseries Owned by Bluebell Children's Nurseries in East Sussex

My daughter has settled so well at the nursery. She is always happy there and has learnt lots of new skills, increasing her independence. Only thing I woukd mention is that no artwork is ever sent home.

The management are professional yet friendly and approachable, I feel my little girl is safe here!

I was worried about my son starting nursery, all the staff put my mind at ease and always upload an update to see that he has settled. My son enjoys coming and his confidence has grown since being at Bluebell Barn.

Every single member of the team is an asset, they are kind and compassionate, they really have the children's best interests at heart and nothing is ever an issue. Freya comes home covered in sand, paint and food which in my eyes is a sign of a good time had!! The team have been really supportive throughout Freya's time at The Barn, updating me on her well-being when we've had a difficult goodbye in the morning. It's little things like that that make me realise we chose the best nursery for her!

He attends for 15 hours a week and thoroughly enjoys his time there. He loves going to beach school, the allotment, yoga and plenty of outdoor play. The nursery has really supported my son with his speech delay and the improvement is incredible. The staff are lovely, approachable and they really do care about the children. I highly recommend this nursery.

Personally I feel the nursery needs to improve in documenting what the children have done throughout the day. I feel they should a designated person each day to document what the children, have eaten, drunk, what activities they have gotten up to. Because at present we don't seem to get much information. My son visit nursery twice a week for 10 hrs each and in those hours it would be nice to be able to actually see what he has been up to! I understand it can be busy but it shouldn't be hard to say what they have done on that day as you don't always receive a handover of the day when more than one parent is picking up their child at a time. Also when there's a photographer coming would be nice to be told what day they are coming as well. The girls are all lovely in the hut/beach room but I find we don't always get a full handover and don't always know the new starters names.

My main concern is the high staff turnover at Bluebell Barn. Several valued team members have left during our time there, and continuity is important for both children and parents.

The staff take absolutely everything in their stride- extreme weather, mini bus of children and remain caring and upbeat- highly recommend!

Perfect nursery, really good at telling you everything that happened in the day with your little one, my daughter is always smiling and very happy when we leave which shows me she had a great day! Couldn't be happier

months old. It was such a hard transition going back to work and leaving our little boy, but Bluebell did a home visit and some settle sessions which were absolutely amazing. Our little boy has loved his (now) two days a week with his nursery class and he loves the varied enrichment and also all of the yummy food he gets. We can relax knowing he's safe and knowing he's having a blast. We get updates while he's at nursery and we get to speak to his nursery teachers at each pick up. It's an all round brilliant nursery and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have had no problems contacting staff for queries, and they have also contacted me about Alice when she is unwell, so i know she is in safe hands and being taken care off.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. Both of my children have loved Bluebell Wood. The staff are lovely, and they always go the extra mile to make sure the children are having a lovely time and are extremely well cared for. They often do extra events such as the Christmas decoration making and the summer party, and extra activies like yoga. The safety at the nursery is excellent with the gate system, and I have always felt confident having the children there. All the team are brilliant, and get to know the children and their needs so well. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you all at Bluebell Wood

Bluebell Barn Nursery is amazing. Our child has a visual impairment and the staff go out of their way to support them in nursery to access all areas and be included. The staff are so kind and supportive to us as a family as well as caring for our child. They truly care. Nothing is a silly request or question and they do their best to listen and accommodate. The updates throughout the day and at the end of the day reassure me my child is having a good day especially when I am missing them at work. Very happy with our experience. The nursery is always clean and the activities throughout the day are fun, inventive and support the children's development as well as meeting the child's individual interests.

Bluebell Barn Nursery is amazing. Our daughter loves it there, she has been going for 7 months and from day one has loved it, she settled so quickly and I genuinely think that's because the staff are all so lovely, caring and welcoming. She puts her arms out for the staff and doesn't even look back for mum or dad.

Overall really happy with my experience of the last year my child has been there.

Bluebell Barn Nursery continue to give my daughter the best experiences. She absolutely loves attending and has been going since she was 11 months old - she is now nearly 3. The staff are brilliant and keep me informed with everything I need to know. My daughter enjoys the wide range of activities she does daily, including baby ballet! The soft play area suits her hyperactive needs very well. If I have had any problems, staff have resolved this immediately. Couldn't recommend a better nursery.
