my daughter started at canal house since she was 2, and I couldn't be more impressed with the nursery. the staff there are amazing, easy to talk to and are willing to go out of there way to help you. the management are brilliant they have all the time in the world for the parents and are willing to help anyway they can. my daughter settled amazingly from the first time she was there and it all thanks to the staff and the attention they showed her. the nursery itself has gone from strength to strength the activities and skills that go into the planning so the children get an amazing day every day is exceptional. the outdoor space is so large and they also have a lovey area at the back that is used as a forest school to enhance the children's learning further. all i can say is thankyou so much to the staff and management there you made going back to work so easy with this little home away from home!!

Jaxon has just finished his time at canal house nursery after spending just over 18months there, he has now gone off to a school nursery. We as a family loved Jaxons time here, he was happy and content and always had lots to tell us when he came home. Andrew and the staff at canal house are very welcoming and will go above and beyond to make families feel at ease with the daunting experience of leaving your child for the first time , brilliant communication at all times, I would highly recommend this nursery.

Excellent facilities, my 6 month old has recently started going here and enjoys coming to nursery every day and absolutely loves all the girls in the baby cottage has a special bond with all of them and gets to try different foods since he has started weaning.

Canal House is a home from home nursery, my little girl has been there since she was 5 months old now a thriving 2 year old thanks to the staff! the girls in the rooms are so welcoming to me and my little girl, take in all her needs and look after her like one of their own. The food is fantastic! My girl used to be a fussy eater now she eats everything! The environment is always encouraging for the children and my little girl runs in in the morning! I can't fault this nursery at all, they are fantastic as a whole!

The staff and management have been brilliant with my two children since the day they both started. They go above and beyond every single day making sure that they are ok. I can't thank them all enough for the work they do.

Great nursery and managment team, my grandson thoroughly enjoyed his time there . Would have given more stars if it was an option. The meals they serve are great and he will now try different foods at home.

We came to the end of my grandchild's journey at Canal House and it has been nothing short of amazing from 7 months to 3 and a half years he has been there. Management are always so helpful, only at the end of the phone to sort anything needed with care and understanding always helping with extra days if they can, staff are always brilliant and you really feel like they care about your grandchild. My grandchild has developed educationally, ready for his preschool year now and also grown in confidence and has a lot of life skills leaving here.

Facilities are exceptional. Staff are all very nice and always well presented. Hats off to the the managers of day to day running of the nursery. They do such a great job along with all staff. Won't find a better nursery in Wigan with what they have for the children and the staff and people around them provide. On top of this it's always spotless

Our daughter has enjoyed Canal House from day one. She settled immediately after switching from another nursery and has loved it ever since. She's made great friends, had great care and there are some brilliant staff who go out their way to make it a safe and supportive place. She loves all the outdoor opportunities and this has shaped her love of the outdoors. The managers deserve lots of credit for the way they go above and beyond to make this place so special.

We are coming to the end of our child's journey at Canal House and it has been nothing short of 5 stars for the 4 years we have been there. Management are always so helpful, only at the end of the phone to sort anything needed with care and understanding. Staff are always attentive and you really feel like they care about your child. The outdoor space is probably the main attraction of this nursery, the forest school is a particular favourite of my child! My child has developed educationally, ready for primary school now and also grown in confidence / life skills and has thoroughly enjoyed going to this nursery. I'll be honest, we're going to miss it! Go take a look around if you're considering it!

We cannot recommend Canal House Nursery highly enough. From the very beginning, the manager and the whole team have been so supportive, welcoming, and approachable, which has made a huge difference to us as parents. Our daughter started at the nursery when she was just 9 months old, and now at 2 years 8 months we can really see how much she has grown and thrived in their care. Her confidence and speech have developed wonderfully, and she has gained so many important friendship and social skills during her time there. The team have also been amazing in supporting us through milestones such as potty training, guiding us with patience and encouragement throughout the process. As our daughter now moves on to her next chapter, we are truly grateful for the nurturing environment Canal House has provided. She leaves with the happiest of memories, and we will always look back on her time there with warmth and gratitude.

When my daughter started at canal house 4 years ago it was fairly new. The manager and the team have done an amazing job with this nursery, it's gone from strength to strength. The range of activities and experiences the staff carry out are endless, bus rides to the park and library, trips to the supermarket, walks visiting the horses and ducks, yoga, French lessons, daily mile, gardening, educational talks from external partners, celebrating events, and organising weekend coffee mornings and fayres. The nursery have bunnies, guinea pigs and turtles and the Forest school is an added bonus. The staff have kept us updated on the app and carry out regular parents evenings. They went above and beyond for the graduation and it will be a memory we will keep forever. This is a fantastic nursery and we would absolutely recommend

My child has been here from 7 months which is a young age to go from as I had to return to work but I always felt fine leaving him with the staff there as they made it feel like home from home for him.

I have been bringing my daughter since September 2024 she started in the baby cottage. My daughter absolutely loves nursery here I know she is well looked after and I comfortable leaving her as I know she is in a safe environment. She will be going into toddlers here on the 1st September which I know she will love as she has had settling sessions and is very comfortable going there too. All the staff are brilliant and very friendly to speak to

My daughter has been with canal house since January and what the best 8 months it has been, on starting my child was very nervous and hadn't been around a lot of children before. Every single staff member have done brilliant for her she has come on so much totally a different child. The staff have treated my child with care, respect and dignity and they always make parents feel welcome and at ease every day. This nursery has been amazing and I am so glad we chose canal house to look after our daughter. It honestly feels like a second family. The outdoor space for the children is brilliant and the fact children can come in and out all day is what it is about being able to explore, get full of dirt I just think it's wonderful.my child isn't a big eater of a lot of food but the staff have done amazing and have been very patient with her and now she's doing amazing and eating the food provided. All I can say is thank you all very much you have gone above and beyond in everything and more

We are so happy with Kids Planet Canal House. Our little boy started just after his first birthday and has always enjoyed his nursery days. The team are super passionate about providing a fun and engaging environment for all the children with themed days and unique activities. The staff feel like an extension of our family who truly understand our little boys personality and help to care and support him in the same way we would.

We have had great experience with Canal Day House Nursery (Now Kids Planet). All the staff members have been very kind and helpful throughout. Special thanks to a specific member of staff who was very supportive during the days when our child was a bit cranky coming to the Nursery in the mornings. That really helped us get past that time. This is my second experience with Canal House Nursery. My eldest went a few years ago and LOVED it. My middle child now goes and youngest will be joining in a few months. I really love this nursery - all the staff are so welcoming and friendly, my children enjoy going in and love all the different activities they do. I love how there is a focus to play outside and the forest school aspect of it. I also how they focus so well on dietary requirements and try to be as inclusive as possible - my child who goes now is quite fussy her eating and they always plate her food in a way that she'll eat and offer alternatives that she'll eat, if she doesn't eat. She was also quite shy so became attached to certain key workers and they ensured she went to those certain key workers when first attending nursery. Overall I'd greatly recommend this nursery to anyone, keep up the fab work guys!

I like how small and interactive the nursery is. They encourage outdoor play with forest school. My child has been for walks down to the canal, to the park, to the library etc etc. I love how to they take dietary requirements into consideration. They'll give food and if my child does not eat they will find an alternative.
