We couldn't be happier with our experience at The Old Barn nursery! From the very first day, the entire team has gone above and beyond to create a nurturing, safe, and happy environment for our child. The staff are not only professional and attentive but also genuinely kind and caring. It's clear they truly love what they do. Our child has blossomed in confidence, communication, and creativity since joining. Every day is filled with exciting learning opportunities, imaginative play, and plenty of outdoor time. They offer unique experiences such as having a fire truck visit! The activities are thoughtfully planned, encouraging curiosity and independence. We especially appreciate the frequent updates and photos, which keep us connected and informed. It's so comforting to know that our little one is not just cared for, but truly thriving and loved. Thank you Old Barn Nursery for giving our child such a happy and enriching start. We feel incredibly lucky to have our child with you

Our son has been full time at the Old Barn since May 2024 and we are beyond thrilled that we picked here! The girls are lovely and you can tell they really care about the children as individuals. Communication is top notch. The daily activities are varied (rugby tots, forest school, painting, water play etc) and keeps the kids thoroughly entertained. Regular parents evenings are brilliant and you're given to opportunity to request anything you'd like the girls to specifically work on with your child (e.g speech, counting etc). This has ensured our son's speech has come on leaps and bounds and he often surprises us with new words and sentences learnt at nursery. The menu is varied and adaptable. The food seems to go down a treat and always smells delicious. Facilities are clean, tidy and they have everything you'd want for a growing child. The recent garden reno has been a massive bonus. We know he's had the best day if he comes home filthy!

I can not be more pleased with the Old Barn Nursery for our Son, since starting in February this year he has absolutely excelled, his speech, his confidence and all around. The staff at the nursery couldn't do enough for him, they are so friendly, caring and helpful. He can't run In the front door quick enough on the drop off's. Something else we have noticed from the nursery is the amount of attention each child receives, and if we have any issues with anything they immediately offer their support and help. The outside space especially is something our son loves, we are always updated with pictures and comments of him being outside, playing in the garden and constantly learning new things. Would recommend the old barn to anyone that asks.

My daughter started at the baby room in the Old Barn just two months ago and I couldn't be happier with the place. She has settled in so well, and that is down to the excellent care and attention from the entire team (to both my daughter and me!) The settling in process and the communication has been brilliant from day 1, and I am never worried when I drop her off - I can see how well she is cared for and how much fun she has, and I am always reassured by messages from her key worker. It's always nice when I find them in the garden at pick up, and hear about the days activities - they're always doing something new and the forest school is a huge plus. I love seeing how confident and comfortable my daughter is becoming at the Barn - my huge thanks to the entire team!

My Daughter is being looked after with such care and attention at The Old Barn day nursery. Her transition into nursery has been so smooth and she loves going every day! The entire team are professional, bubbly, caring and supportive of the children's growth! Their communication with parents is thorough - we know exactly what our daughter is up to!

Our little boy has really enjoyed going to The Old Barn Day Nursery. He enjoys all the activities especially the forest school. The team are great, they keep us regularly updated with what he is doing and his development progression.

We're so delighted we picked The Old Barn for our little boy, it offers just the right blend of educational play, gentle development and wholesome fun for our child. He runs into nursery each morning, excited to see his friends and looking forward to the day ahead. The activities (forest school, rugby tots and water play) are always a hit! But, for us, the most important aspect of his care is the team. The manager and the fantastic team at The Old Barn are always welcoming and warm, he's cuddled to sleep (on the days he needs it) and kind but firm boundaries have really supported our little boy in growing into the toddler he is today. We cannot thank you or recommend you highly enough.

My son has been attending The Old Barn Day Nursery for nearly two years, starting just after his 1st birthday. The nursery has been fantastic in meeting his needs and supporting his growth and learning. He began in the baby room, where the setup provides a dedicated space for babies to develop, including their own outdoor area separate from older children. At 16 months, he transitioned to the pre-toddler room, a spacious environment that encourages children to learn and grow at their own pace. The key workers in each room consistently provide detailed updates on his progress when we pick him up. The nursery also offers a varied food menu, allowing children to explore new tastes and develop healthy eating habits. He enjoys weekly activities like Rugby Tots, Baby Boppers, and Forest School, making his experience well-rounded and enriching.

My daughter has been going to Old Barn Nursery for 18 months now and loves it there. The staff are all lovely and the Manager does a great job of running the setting and always looking for improvements. The forest school is one of the highlights of the nursery and has been great for my daughter's development. They offer a wide great range of activities and are always out in the garden and regularly have trips out of the setting too. Would highly recommend this nursery!

My daughter enjoys going to The Old Barn Pre Prep (and enjoyed her time at the Nursery too). She has strong bonds with the ladies who care for her; they are very loving and work to encourage her to behave well, to listen and to play well with her peers. They note her abilities and try to stretch her to recognise more letters and even begin to try to write her name. She loves the football classes and Forest school activities and going out and about. My son attended the setting too and they provided a great foundation for his time at school. I think the overall owners of the nursery should invest more and support their wonderful staff better.

We are so glad our daughter attends The Old Barn Day Nursery. Our daughter started at one year old in The Old Barn and has transitioned through The Old Barn and into Pre-Prep fantastically and this is down to the amazing staff who care so well for our little ones. The outside areas are amazing and the addition of forest school really enhances their experiences. We are very thankful to each member of staff.

I have previously left a 3-star review of the Old Barn Nursery which was impacted by 2 price rises in less than a year. Since leaving that review, the nursery manager, deputy manager and another staff member, backed by a strong and supportive team, have helped turn the nursery around for the better. It is still not perfect, I doubt any institution could ever be; updates are irregular, there is still no confirmed curriculum, and there are not enough outings in a year, however, the care and love that the kids receive is second to only that demonstrated by a family member. All the kids at The Old Barn are extremely confident, happy, nurtured and adventurous in life - something you do not see as much at other nurseries. All the children are guided and looked after extremely well, not just because it's the carers' job, but they genuinely love the kids and do their utmost to ensure that they are happy. I would love to send my 2nd child to the Old Barn for the same love and care that his brother received!

My son started his journey at The Old Barn Day Nursery in 2022, at first it was a lot of ups and downs towards his care, but I have to say that since the new manager started at The Old Barn I can see a huge progress towards my child's care. My son is very happy coming in the morning, I really love the fact that he has a bond with the members of staff. Food has improved massively and the children get a balanced, home-cooked meal every day. Really happy with keeping my child here through the tough times as the team has really pulled together and I will be so sad to see him leave.

I cannot speak highly enough of the nursery - my first-born was there from 1-4years and my second boy is currently in the toddler room. The staff are incredibly nurturing and attentive, I feel they've always got a close eye on the development and wellbeing of my boys. It's always felt like a home from home - with even more fun and activities! (The range of activities, from forest school to rugby tots to baby boppers is just incredible). The warmth and welcome has meant that both my boys settled quite quickly and as a mum rushing off to work with mum guilt, that's always been an extreme amount of comfort for me. All the ladies that work in the Old Barn, deserve the utmost praise for what they do and the care they give. The manager has bought a great level of professionalism to the nursery - she always has everyone's best interests at heart. My eldest transitioned to school beautifully and I believe that is because the old barn offered him the most amazing child setting beforehand.

I could not wish for a better setting and group of people to look after my daughter. Starting our nursery journey at only 10 months old I was very anxious at how both myself and my daughter would cope and I am so happy we chose The Old Barn. She goes in every morning happy and excited and the updates we get throughout the day prove just how happy and well cared for she is. Recently she has been unwell and receiving messages from her key worker to check in was so appreciated. It is incredibly clear to see that the children's well-being and happiness is their main priority and I cannot wait to see how much more she flourishes with their support and guidance.

Our little boy joined at 10 months & the new management team had just started. We were really pleased with how friendly & understanding the staff were towards us. Our little one enjoys his days spent at the nursery, the staff are always updating the app with relevant information and photos which keeps us reassured throughout the day. Pick-ups and drop-offs are always personal and thorough handovers are given. A particular thanks to two members of staff who have been amazing these last few months and they’ve definitely done a great job at implementing changes at the nursery. Overall - highly recommend it!

My child has been with the nursery from babies through to toddlers. There has been some turnover in management but the care for the children has always been a priority. My daughter loves to go in every morning and formed connections with staff and other children. She is a happy, independent and confident little girl, she attends 4 days a week and the team has made such a contribution towards this. The communication has significantly improved since the new team has been put in place and look forward to what is to come!

Very friendly and caring staff. Would recommended to all parents with children. My son gets excited when he gets out of the car. Last week he took his coat off and walked straight into the room with no goodbye! The food is varied and healthy options are always given. My son brings home arts and crafts which he has created that week which is a lovely touch. The nursery has been very accommodating and flexible when I’ve needed to add additional days in Jan/Feb/March! The app is always updated so I can see photos, nappy changes, naps and food offered/eaten! Two members of staff in particular really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and put you at ease.
