Our son joined Newpark at 1 year old and has been at the nursery for about a year. We initially chose Newpark because of its convenient location in the City, its flexible hours (7-7) and its clear Montessori approach. We have been extremely impressed by the nursery and having now moved nurseries due
to relocation, can only stress how wonderful the setting is. PROS: - Very small setting (20ish children), individual approach to each child. - Consistent Montessori approach, Montessori-trained teachers and plenty of equipment. - Own chef - One room for all children, learning from others. - Weekly reports and photos, personal videos of special days (birthdays etc). - Weekly library/ park visits, outside time every day. CONSIDERATIONS: - Limited outside space. - Relatively strict sickness policy, leading to many missed hours in the winter. - High fees even compared to other local nurseries.
