My husband and I couldn't be happier with LGR. We know our girl is safe, well looked after and fed well. The staff are so friendly and super helpful. Our daughter has a disability and the staff at LGR couldn't have been more supportive and accommodating of her needs. I have peace of mind whenever my daughter is there, such a wonderful place.

Above and beyond I have two children at LGR Elvington. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. Both the staff and management are exceptional. My children love coming to nursery and the support from the team in all aspects of their lives is next level. The team go above and beyond to create a safe space, where each of my children are loved and cared for. With some recent challenging times at home the nursery has been a great support to us.

Wonderful caring and friendly nursery staff. Fantastic management team. I always feel happy to leave my child in the care of the amazing staff here. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to other parents.

Our son started with little green rascals in May and we have been so pleased with the settling in process. Staff have been so friendly and welcoming and I've felt really comfortable that our child is being looked after. Our son beams when he sees his key contact which just shows the level of care that he receives at the nursery!

One of the most heart wrenching moments was leaving my child at nursery; our first substantial time apart - and honestly, the LGR team have made the process easy. With empathy, patience and kindness (and all the updates on the app) - the process has been smooth and settling in sessions really helped too. They have all been wonderful, and I couldn't be more grateful and comfortable leaving my child with them.

Since joining the nursery last September my child has settled in really well and built some fantastic relationships with the staff. We feel he is really cared for and gets all the hugs he needs. He is no excited to go to nursery on a morning and tells us all about his day in pre-school.

Both my children attend LGR Elvington and they love it. The staff are soo friendly and helpful and the children have a fabulous learning environment with lots of different activities. We would recommend it to anyone.

Stunning care and excellent teamwork when navigating important milestones. I can't believe how much progress our little one has made at Little Green Rascals. She started at 11 months and is now nearly 17 months. In the last 6 months she has learned to walk, talk and communicate with sign language. She absolutely thrives there and it's a pleasure to drop her off every morning because she runs into her key person's arms for a cuddle. The communication is incredible and each day it is amazing to hear the stories and adventures she has been on. If our little one learns a new word or skill over the weekend then I tell her key person and they encourage the use of that word or skill throughout the week. It's just beautiful. Thank you so much for all the care you give. As a parent you are made to feel very special and very welcome, the personable approach from each member of staff is incredible, right from the key person, the staff in the room, to the manager and deputy managers.

I highly recommend this Nursery! My first child recently left the preschool to start school and my youngest is currently in the baby room. Right from the start my oldest has felt warmed and welcomed by the Little Green Rascals family. They have provided a positive stimulative learning environment from Forest School to French, football, yoga and woodwork. The food is great and the staff is incredible! Everyone is so friendly and all the staff genuinely care about the children. It's a shame they changed the nursery app. With the previous app, it was so easy to contact or have feedback from the nursery practitioners which now as a parent I'm not able to message my son's key worker unless she/he starts a conversation as a first message. So to talk to them privately I have to call or email the nursery. The features are not attractive: nappies, meals, sleep they do not appear on the same page but you have to scroll down to know about them. What a pity!

I highly recommend this Nursery. My first child recently left the Preschool to start School, and my youngest is currently in the baby room. The staff here are so kind and caring. They want the best for your children and really get to know them. There's very little staff turnover which I find reassuring. The food provision is excellent and cooked fresh on-site. My child has allergies which are catered for really well. The rooms are well equipped with toys and activities and plenty of outside space. There are loads of extra activities from outside providers. For example, music band, football for the older kids and French lessons. The Forest School is brilliant. My eldest child absolutely loved it. She didn't want to leave Nursery. It is expensive but I think that given all the extra opportunities for the kids and the high-quality staff, it's worth it, hence why I chose this Nursery again for my youngest.

Beautiful nursery the children are always very calm and engaged. The staff are so friendly, caring and supportive to the whole family. The teaching and learning are very good and my child loves to attend. The food is outstanding, organic and freshly prepared onsite. We get a parent breakfast which is such a lovely treat before the rush to get to work. Would highly recommend this nursery.

A brilliant nursery. My son loves it here and happily walks in everyday without any doubt and has done from the very beginning, which is a huge credit to the team here. They take part in a huge variety of classes, from football, science tots and trips to the forest school. We've had a couple of medical emergencies here due to an existing condition and the team handled this both times incredibly. We couldn't have asked for more and we have every confidence in the team and setting here.

My little girl started Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Elvington in September 2024 and we have never been so pleased about making a decision. We viewed so many nurseries but as soon as we saw LGR we knew it was the one for us. My little girl loves her Key Worker and we are kept to up date all day with how she's doing. She always comes home so happy and the home cooked menu always sounds (and smells) delicious. There's also takeaway tea/coffee and breakfast snacks in a morning for the parents at drop off which is amazing. I wouldn't ever look to send my little girl anywhere else and I would truly recommend LGR to anyone looking for a nursery for their little one. Thank you so much

I could not recommend Little Green Rascals highly enough for their nurturing approach. I worried our little girl might take some time to settle having only turned one. Her key worker and all the staff in the wiggly worms room have worked so hard to make her feel safe and cared for and reassure us as parents. As a mum, I could not ask for more.

Little Green Rascals has been consistent since our first one arrived and with our second. Staff and standards are always high and the coffee and treats for the adults are a great bonus. I have found teachers to be considerate and aware of my rascals needs and always informative on collection. Handover is always smooth and handling of the little one to ensure she is not overwhelmed is always great.

My son has been attending this school for nearly a year. Every teacher is full of love and works with dedication. We see his self-confidence growing more and more each day. The only downside is that unfortunately, the prices are quite high.

This is an excellent nursery, which has staff that care for all the children. My son was very happy at the nursery, and this is due to the relationships he formed with the staff, who are all very caring and want the best for the children. The facilities are great too and there are lots for the children to do, both indoors and outdoors. I can't recommend the nursery highly enough!

We could not be happier with this nursery! The staff go above and beyond to support children and their families. It's small enough that it feels like a family but big enough that children can develop their own friendships. They follow gentle parenting principles and have an enviable offering of weekly activities including: Forest school, Baby Band, Rugby Tots, Science Tots to name a few. Yet there is always free time scheduled for children to develop their own creativity. We signed our second child up before she was even born as we are so impressed with the setting.

Excellent nursery. My daughter has attended Little Green Rascals Elvington since she was 12 months old and will be leaving preschool in August 2024. We have loved all her key workers as she graduated up the rooms, so kind, patient and fun with the children. She absolutely loves playing in their outside space and taking trips to the maze which is next door. We’ve had no issues and would highly recommend it.
