My child is very happy at Small Wonders! All the staff are great, and my child loves going! Would recommend! They have an in-house chef, go on lots of trips, and my child is thriving.
The level of care my child receives is exceptional.

Two settling sessions, one child attended one day this week.
Second child two days and have now emailed management to terminate the contract.
I made an observation on hygiene whilst children were in settling sessions about (bathroom floor having a puddle of urine and no hot water with
management) no feedback after investigating. I feel since this observation things had been left sour.
I was late on collecting my child and was alarmed to hear a member of staff screaming at a child whilst I was standing outside the bathroom which is near the entrance. She was very short with me when she finally opened the door. I apologised and said agreed that I was late but had been waiting but no one could hear me over the noise. She mentioned there will be a late charge which was expected and will also make sure the doorbell volume is higher.
I felt sick to my stomach and at the same time relieved I collected my son late to hear this. As a responsible parent, I feel this review needed to be written.

My child was at this nursery for nearly 2 years. It never had the best facilities but was one of the cheapest locally. The staff turnover is high. The facilities, toys etc are old and dated. Initially my child would take home stuff but that stopped.
There was no interaction or structured play
or learning activities and the children played amongst themselves. Food was poor quality and mainly processed food. Our child did want to attend and on occasions cry when it was time to go.
We raised our concerns with the management and was informed that if we didn't like the service we could leave. We were also accused of being abusive and insulting and our place was terminated by post with 18 hours notice leaving us short of child care for 2 weeks. I thought this was highly unprofessional and felt like bullying.
We have since changed our childcare and our child is happier and the change has been very positive for her. The new childcare has made us realise how poor this nursery was.
