My son was at this nursery for a year until we moved away from the area and I have nothing but praise to give all the nursery staff when he first started going to nursery he was behind in a lot of things other children were doing at his age and within months of being there he was ahead of most! He went from being mute to singing all day and night I absolutely love this nursery and if I was ever to move back to the area would love to come back

From my Son starting in babies all the way through to preschool his whole experience has been incredible. He has learnt so much and come one with his development so well. The staff are fabulous and look after the children with great care and attention. My son absolutely loves going and I never have issues dropping him off and always happy when I pick him up. He has been set up ready for school well and I have enrolled my daughter to start here when I return to work. Wouldn't consider anywhere else.

Both our boys have come to The Cottage Day Nursery & we could not have been happier. Every member of staff have been so caring and supportive and have helped our children be ready for the next stange of schools. They have all been amazing giving the boys a safe environment to learn and be creative and have lots of fun.

The Cottage Day Nursery is a very caring, nurturing and loving environment. They were so patient and nurturing with our son, guiding him through how to manage big feelings, preparing him for big school all while allowing him to be himself. They also managed his multiple allergies and encouraged and listened to us. When it came to decisions about his care. A wholehearted thank you from us for loving and caring for our spirited, loving boy!

My daughter has been attending The Cottage Day Nursery since she was just 1 year old. Like many little ones, she found the early days challenging and cried a lot at first. But the baby unit team were absolutely fantastic - they showed such patience, care, and emotional support, helping her settle in gently and feel safe and loved. Now, at 2 years and 3 months, she's moved into the main nursery and goes in with a big smile, excited to play with her friends. It's such a joy to see how happy and confident she is. I want to give a huge thank you to every single member of staff at The Cottage Day Nursery. It's all the little things you do - the smiles, the cuddles, the creativity, and the reassurance - that make such a big difference. You've made it so much easier for us as parents to leave our child each day, knowing she's in truly trustworthy and caring hands. Thank you again for everything.

The Cottage Day Nursery is one of the best nurseries when it comes to child development, as we were having some concerns since she was a baby. Our daughter improved massively in every way. I highly recommend it to every single parent. The independence, the improvement that we noticed in her are exceptional. Thank you all for everything.

If you're looking for a nursery that goes above & beyond, then look no further. The incredible staff have been dedicated to my sons development & he's come on tremendously. His confidence & abilities are improving every week. They show a genuine interest in what my son's been getting up to outside of nursery too so they can continue to support his learning whilst with them. Every morning my son's excited to go in, he giggles, claps his hands & sings in the car. I really couldn't have asked for a better nursery to send him to. We're heartbroken that he won't be able to continue his learning here as we're moving, but even then the childcare manager has been assisting us with finding a nursery in our new area! This goes to show how invested they are in ensuring my son has the best start in life be it with them or another nursery. Every staff member is caring, encouraging, dedicated, trustworthy, patient, supportive & attentive. The list could go on. Thank you for caring for my boy xx

My daughter absolutely loves attending nursery. The staff are warm, friendly and engaging with other children and families. There's always activities both fun and educational. I've watched my child develop exceptionally under the supervision and care of the brilliant team. Selecting this nursery was by far the best decision I have made.

Our daughter has been attending since she was 11months old and loves coming to nursery. Its lovely to hear what shes been learning about during her day and shes very excited to tell us at collection. Shes built strong bonds with both staff and her peers, her confidence has also excelled during her time at the cottage. Management are supportive, friendly and welcoming. They are also very informative when it comes to funding, events and child's development. They have beautiful homely bright and airy rooms and large outdoor spaces which our daughter loves exploring.

I had a great experience with my own two children being cared for at Cottage Day Nursery and it was the first place I contacted when recieving care for my baby niece. They are brilliant and I feel they genuinely care about her and the other children. Whenever I leave or collect her, she and they have smiles on their faces, which is so reassuring. They are also a kind and friendly bunch!

Having had two children spend 4 years at The Cottage, I have to say they have been fantastic. Staff are attentive, engaging and most importantly focus on the development and wellbeing of each child - individually. Their flexibility and accommodation of working parents is commendable. Management take on feedback with a true will to improve, in order to main high educational standards. And they have had so much fun!

My baby has been with this nursery since she was 9 months, she has grown very well, she walks well, has good vocabulary and is feeding better than I had hoped.The staff at the nursery is amazing and my daughter is always happy to see them in the morning. I am very happy with her progress at this stage.

My child has been well looked after here for 3 years. I feel so comfortable leaving my little one with the staff here. My child has valuable relationships with all the key workers and they have helped her to come on leaps and bounds. We will be sad to leave to start big school

Fantastic nursery, we couldn't have asked for more. The team has known us for 9 years now and they are part of our family. They made each day fun, balanced, and interactive with both children and families, children had much love at all stages. Our eldest continued to attend a sister nursery over her holidays, which worked equally well. Thank you for making each day fun and special.

My daughter has been attending The Cottage in Bedford Street Derby for almost 6 months now. Since starting at The Cottage my wife and I have watched our daughter come along leaps and bounds in terms of her development, speech, counting, socialising with other kids and more. She comes home and tells us all about her day and how great a time she has had and what she's been doing. The staff are all wonderful and are clearly very interested in the development of all the children under their care. They have been very helpful at both guiding and supporting us all during periods of transition like toilet training for instance. I'd highly recommend The Cottage on Bedford Street if you need a great nursery that you can trust to take care of your little ones.

The Cottage has been a consistently excellent nursery for our children - they have been looked after in every respect to the highest standard of care. We feel very well supported by the nursery during difficult phases and transitions and they have always worked with us to achieve the best outcome for our family. Our children's time at The Cottage has been nothing short of outstanding and it has set them up wonderfully for school. We cannot recommend them enough.

The best nursery for my child. She has learnt and progressed so much since being at The Cottage. The staff are fantastic with all the children. They are caring and loving. I couldn't imagine my child going anywhere else, and we will certainly be back with our younger child.

Both our boys have come to The Cottage Day Nursery & we could not have been happier. The best nursery for my child. She has learnt and progressed so much since being at The Cottage. The staff are fantastic with all the children. They are caring and loving. I couldn't imagine my child going anywhere else, and we will certainly be back with our younger child.
