Graduates For 30 Days Wild - please see poster, we will be exploring the natural world around us describing what we see and feel while outside, noticing the effect of the weather and season.

Clever Cats Next week, we are delighted to announce that the Clever Kittens will officially become the Clever Cats, while our current Clever Cats will be celebrated as Graduates! As part of this exciting transition, the new Clever Cats will begin learning letters, starting with the letter A. Through our literacy activities, the children will be encouraged to expand their vocabulary by naming and describing different dinosaurs. In maths, the children will explore comparisons by looking at size, length and weight, using dinosaurs to help them compare and discuss different measurements and capacities. Our outdoor learning activities will include moving like dinosaurs during “Dinosaur Stomp” games and completing fun dinosaur-themed obstacle courses. Our Book of the Week is ‘1, 2, 3 Do the Dinosaur Stomp’, and our Song of the Week is ‘Dinosaur Stomp’. Ladybirds Next week the Ladybirds will be learning all about dinosaurs! We are going to be exploring the different types of dinosaurs while comparing sizes using the words ‘Big’ and ‘Small’. Through reading stories, creating crafts and exploring small world activities we will encourage early language and creativity skills.

Butterflies Next week in the Baby Room, we will be exploring a dinosaur theme through sensory play, movement, music, messy play and stories. The children will enjoy discovering different textures and satisfying their curiosity through our dinosaur swamp, where they will explore edible grass and mud. We will be listening to dinosaur sounds, making our own dinosaur "roars" and stomping around like dinosaurs while supporting the development of the children's communication, language and physical skills.
