WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 6TH APRIL 2026

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats Next week in Clever Cats we will be looking at Easter and Spring! We will continue to look at the changes in environment and hunting for number eggs on our daily mile! We will recap on all of the letters we have learnt so far and also continue to practice our pincer grip and writing skills! Our song of the week is ‘I’m A Little Chick’ and our book of the week is ‘Denny’s Easter Egg Disaster.’

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the children within the Toddler Room are focusing their learning on and around the celebration of Easter! ??

The children will be undertaking an egg counting hunt within their outdoor environment. The children will work together to find eggs numbered 1-5 and will then use their mathematical skills to count and identify how many eggs they found altogether. Following the egg number hunt, the children will then be encouraged to look at the patterns on the eggs and categorise these into groups accordingly, eg. Spots and stripes and again will use their mathematical language to count and compare using comparative language ‘more’, ‘less’ and ‘same’.

The children will also be decorating their own Easter Eggs and will be joining in with Easter themed songs and nursery rhymes, such as ‘Sleeping Bunnies’, ‘Little Peter Rabbit’ and more!

Butterflies Next week we will celebrating Easter and continuing to explore Spring animals. The children will be creating their own picture for the Easter Bunny and will also be exploring the outdoors as it changes into spring such as flowers and other animals.
