WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 9TH MARCH 2026

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats & Clever Kittens Next week the children will be exploring Science Week through hands-on activities and curiosity-led learning. They will be encouraged to ask questions about the world around them and investigate simple scientific ideas through play. The children will take part in activities such as exploring sinking and floating, measuring height, investigating sounds and developing early mark-making and writing skills. Through indoor and outdoor experiences, the children will build their communication, thinking and problem-solving skills while making exciting discoveries. The children will also be making special Mother’s Day crafts to celebrate and share with their families.

Ladybirds Next week in the Ladybird room we are celebrating Science Week with lots of hands on exploration and will be exploring the world around them through fun activities such as colour mixing, exploring water & bubbles along with observing nature in the garden. These activities will be supporting children’s early language skills when they ask questions or share their own ideas. 

Butterflies Next week in Baby Room we will be celebrating Science Week with lots of fun, hands on exploration. The babies will take part in simple science activities such as water play and mixing different colours together. The babies will be exploring different textures, and discovering how things move, float and splash.
