WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 2ND MARCH 2026

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats & Clever Kittens Next week, our Preschoolers will be celebrating World Book Day, with a special focus on the wonderful stories of Julia Donaldson. The children will explore her much-loved tales through engaging storytelling sessions, bringing stories to life using a variety of props.

Together, we will revisit favourite characters, join in with repeated phrases and encourage the children to use their imagination as they act out scenes and retell stories in their own words.

Ladybirds Next week in Ladybirds, it is World Book Day! We will be sharing some of our favourite books by Julia Donaldson together for example - ‘Room On The Broom’ and ‘Monkey Puzzle’. Throughout the week we will enjoy sharing lots of stories with our friends, we will all enjoy dressing up as our favourite characters whilst doing lots of role playing as them. We will also be making crafts linked to the stories to take home!

Butterflies Next week in Baby Room we will be celebrating World Book Day with lots of fun, sensory story experiences. We will be sharing some of our favourite Julia Donaldson stories and exploring books through touch, sound and pictures. The babies will enjoy cosy story times and looking at bright illustrations. ??
