December News

December has been a wonderfully busy and festive month here at the nursery, filled with celebrations, achievements and lots of Christmas cheer ??? We are delighted to share that another member of our team has signed up with Aberlour Futures and will soon begin her SVQ in Social Services Children and Young People. We are proud to continue supporting staff development and investing in high-quality training for our team.

We also continue to see the many benefits of offering monthly wellbeing check-in supervisions for staff. These sessions provide a dedicated space to talk openly about workload, wellbeing and professional development. Benefits include improved staff morale, early identification of support needs, stronger working relationships and a more positive, supported staff team overall.

Staff completed their refresher training to mark their one-year work anniversaries, ensuring skills and knowledge remain up to date.

The festive season brought lots of fun for both children and staff. We enjoyed a cosy Christmas Pyjama Day.

One of the highlights of the month was the children’s Christmas party, which included a very special visit from Santa, who arrived with his sack full of presents ????. The excitement and smiles on the children’s faces made it a truly magical day.

Our staff also got into the festive spirit by taking part in Secret Santa, exchanging gifts and spreading plenty of Christmas cheer amongst the team.

Throughout December, we continued to show prospective families around the nursery and were pleased to welcome new children, helping them settle into our nursery.

In the lead-up to Christmas, we were happy to share our nursery for two days with children and staff from Banana Moon Dyce while maintenance work was carried out at their site. It was lovely to meet new friends and spend time together.

Finally, we would like to thank all parents and carers for bearing with us during the recent snow disruptions. Thankfully, the weather has improved and we are now just dealing with plenty of rain instead!
