WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 12TH JANUARY 2026

Next week we will be -

Clever Cats Next week, we will be looking at New Year’s Resolutions. We will be talking about what we are excited for this year such as going to school and look at what we can do to work towards this new chapter. We will be having a go at different activities and finding out what we like and dislike. We will be carrying on practising writing our names to build this skill.

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the children within the Toddler Room are going to be focusing on New Year’s Resolutions. We are going to be supporting the children in identifying a goal in which they want to achieve this year, such as 10 clear words, toilet training and more and will be creating a ‘2026 goals’ mood board. Practitioners will be participating too!

The children will also be creating their own salt dough medals to celebrate their achievements and to further develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through threading opportunities.   Butterflies Next week in the Baby Room we will be exploring the topic of winter, we will be using our senses to investigate a snow and ice tuff tray and will be introduced to some new simple single words. We will also be getting creative making our own winter themed pictures.
