WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 1ST DECEMBER 2025

Last Updated: 27 Nov 2025 @ 00:00 AM

Clever Cats We have now finished exploring Road Safety and we hope the children will take what they have learned home. One of our main focuses has been traffic lights and the children are able to say what each one means. Next week, we will be exploring St Andrew’s Day. The children will have a go at making their own tartan patterns and make their own Scottish flags. We will be listening to Scottish music and see what emotions it makes us feel and also try to do some Scottish dancing. To work on our physical skills, we will also be holding the TicTots Highland Games!

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the children will be focusing on St Andrew’s Day.

The children will be exploring the Scottish culture. The children will do this by taking part in some Scottish dancing. The children will also be creating their own tartan printing by using good hand movement with paintbrushes to go horizontally and diagonally on the paper. Lastly, the children will also be creating their own salt dough cross. The children will help to make the salt dough by using all the ingredients needed. Once the salt dough is done the children will decorate it by doing a St Andrew’s cross on the salt dough.

Butterflies Next week the Baby Room will be exploring Scottish culture as we celebrate St Andrew’s Day. We will be exploring some water play set up to look like Nessie’s home and we will also be listening to some traditional Scottish music.
