WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - JULY 7TH

Next week we will be -

Graduates Throughout next week we are continuing to prepare for our Graduation celebration as well as getting out about about in the local area. We will be visiting Preston Docks to look at the boats and then when we will have a go at making our own boats to see if they sink or float.

Clever Cats We will be continuing our summer theme next week but focusing more on growing and the outdoors. We will be working on our garden and the children will be helping with the digging and the planting. We will be counting the seeds we plant and measuring the soil we use. We will be learning about the life cycle of a plant, looking at what happens to a seed when it grows. We will also be getting creative printing with leaves. Clever Kittens and Ladybirds Next week the children within the Toddler Room are focusing their learning around Teddy Bears’ Picnic. 

The children are going to be creating their very own teddy bear masks to wear to our teddy bears’ picnic and baking their own teddy bear biscuits.

The children are also going to be singing the nursery rhyme ‘Teddy Bear Teddy Bear Turn Around’ and performing the different actions to the song.    Butterflies Next week in the Baby Unit we are going to be creating our own Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

To develop our fine motor skills we will be using tools such as sponges, toothbrushes and cloths to clean up our printed dirty teddies bears who have been playing in the mud.

To recreate real life experiences in our home corner set up the children will be encouraged to pretend play, feeding the teddy bear some of their favourite food.
