Next week we will be -
Clever Cats ‘Colour Monster Goes To School’ will be the story and focus for the Clever Cats as the children have been visiting their new primary schools, we have had teachers visit the children at nursery talking about their transition. We will be focusing on getting school ready, talking about the mixed emotions they might be feeling and how we can overcome this.
Clever Kittens Next week we are continuing to enhance our knowledge about mini beasts, we will be going on bug hunts looking for both live and pictures of various mini creatures. This will be both inside and outside. We will continue to create our bug hotel in the garden area, talking about the need to care for insects in our environment. We will be talking about the letter ‘A' and the shape ‘circle’, for the children to find something that corresponds to these at home, so that we can share them with everyone in nursery.
Ladybirds Next week we will be enjoying the much-loved classic ‘Dear Zoo' as our book of the week! This will encourage children to join in with the familiar phrases while exploring the exciting animals sent from the zoo. It supports language development, animal recognition, and anticipation skills as children guess what animal might come next.
Butterflies This week in Baby room, we have been exploring musical instruments to explore instrumental sounds while we introduced a little bit of rhythm too.
Next week we will be back to exploring food textures - lumpy and smooth with hands into the texture to compare how the different textures feel. All messy play will be monitored: edible and safe!
