Green Flag Success for Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Charlton Heights!

We are thrilled to share that Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Charlton Heights in Charlton Hayes has officially achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award – with Distinction!

This prestigious recognition celebrates the incredible efforts of our children and staff in making our nursery more environmentally friendly, sustainable, and eco-aware. Since 1994, the Eco-Schools programme has empowered young people across the globe to take positive action for the planet — and we’re proud to be part of that movement.

The initiative at our nursery was led by Megan, who worked closely with the children and team to bring eco-conscious learning and projects into everyday life.

“I’m so proud of everything the children have achieved,” said Megan. “From learning about recycling to planting and caring for our garden, their enthusiasm and understanding of sustainability has been inspiring. This award is a reflection of everyone’s hard work and passion for protecting our planet.”

We now eagerly await the arrival of our official Green Flag and celebratory plaque, which we will proudly display at the nursery.
