Two colleagues from Edwinstowe Close Day Nursery in Cambridge were delighted to soak up some winter sun after winning a holiday to Dubai, courtesy of their company.
After winning the ‘trip of a lifetime’ as part of Childbase Partnership’s 35-year anniversary celebration and competition giveaway back in September, Nursery Practitioner; Shelagh Manners chose colleague Karen Sterecki to take with her on the all-expenses-paid trip to the capital, where they enjoyed a jam-packed itinerary of activities and sightseeing.
From visiting the world’s tallest building; the iconic Burj Khalifi, to boat trips and aquarium visits, the pair enjoyed exploring all the city had to offer whilst soaking up the warm weather.
Edwinstowe Close winner, Shelagh Manners explained;
“I was over the moon to learn I’d won the trip to Dubai, it was such an incredible surprise. We had an unforgettable trip and this was a fantastic opportunity to experience new things and make some lovely memories which we could share with the children back in nursery.”
Other prizes in the giveaway included trips to New York, Berlin, Edinburgh and London, as well as cheese hampers, beauty boxes and more. During the anniversary month colleagues across the 44-nurseries and Head Office also raised a total of £36,600.00 for the British Heart Foundation, having taken part in a ‘35k Step Challenge’ for the worthy cause.
