What We Are Learning - 19th August

Here's what the children will be learning next week

Clever Cats

Throughout the following week the Clever Cat and Graduates will be becoming their very own pizza chef. We will be exploring shapes to create our very own Shapetastic pizza picture as well as exploring colours and patterns. The children will be using this knowledge of shapes and fine motor skills to cut and arrange shapes using coloured paper. 

Clever Kittens and Ladybirds

This week the children will be continuing to focus on developing their communication and language skills. The Clever Kittens will be focusing on using sentences with two to three words to express theirs wants, wishes and needs. The Ladybirds will be continuing to develop the use of single words in context such as at snack time using the word ‘more’  ‘cup’.

Butterflies

This week we begin welcoming our new friends into the setting. We will be focusing on developing those strong relationships and encourage exploration of the classroom. Our words of the week are ‘hello’ as we welcome our friends and ‘bye-bye’ as we say goodbye. Our song of the week is our ‘hello’ song as we learn our new friend’s names and encourage the children to wave hello.
