Representatives from across local children’s nursery group Boys & Girls, based in Watford, Rickmansworth, Stanmore and Watford, were welcomed to Barnet based children’s charity Sebby’s Corner on Monday 12th February for a morning of volunteering.
The team of nine spent the morning packing essential referrals for families in need of Sebby’s services, as well as sorting donations and organising clothing areas of the hub.
Sebby’s Corner supports families across Barnet, Hertfordshire, and London, and believe no child should go without the basic essentials they need to thrive. They offer a range of services including the family referrals scheme where they provide items as clothing, nappies, formula, toiletries, and baby equipment. Sebby’s support families living in poverty, families in temporary accommodation, families who have fled domestic abuse, refugees, asylum seekers and victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Natasha Kirby, Director, Boys & Girls Nursery, proudly said, “It was great for our team to see first hand the amazing work Sebby’s do, and it was a pleasure spending time there volunteering. It was a very rewarding morning for all involved and I would encourage anyone who is able to support this amazing charity to do so in any way they can, whether it be through donating items, fundraising, or volunteering”.
