The children at Greengables Nursery in Owlsmoor have been having Halloween inspired fun this October.
There was dressing up as well as a host of themed activities and pursuits for the children to engage with. The Ladybird Room Trough was a particular success with the one- to two-year-olds. Bright and tactile, this activity engaged the children in sensory play allowing the children to experience different textures as well as getting creative whilst ‘cooking’ a spooky potion.
Nursery Manager Jen Ralphs explained: "Autumn is a fantastic time for children to explore their environment. The season provides an array of different sensory opportunities that we make the most of at Greengables.
"From leaf printing to learning about life cycles, all of our children get free flow access to our wonderful garden meaning they have ample opportunities for play and exploration during this season of change."
