Kids Planet Widnes took part in the Colour Obstacle Rush in aid of Halton Haven. The Widnes based nursery raised an incredible £900 in aid of the charity whilst enjoying getting covered in paint and battling against numerous inflatable activities.
The event was held in Liverpool on Sunday 15th May. The Colour Obstacle Rush had 20 obstacles, 8 of these included an inflatable colouring station. The obstacles were designed with fun in mind and suitable for most and included sliding, bouncing, tumbling and to get tangled in, (with colour stations inside some of them), rapid fires of sponge balls, space hopper racing, colour blasting Mad Max chasing, foamy slip 'n' slides, optional water balloon mayhem, funny balance beams and plenty of other surprises.
Tracy Roberts, Nursery Manager, said “We had a wonderful day and are proud to raise money for Halton Haven on behalf of Kids Planet. We would like to thank everyone that donated and supported us to help achieve such a massive amount. We will continue to help raise money for Halton Haven and raise awareness of the charity that’s close to our hearts”.
Eleanor Smith, Community Fundraiser for Halton Haven said, “Supporters like Tracy and all of the employees at Kids Planet Widnes are invaluable to the Hospice, they regularly hold Open days throughout the year and choose to donate the proceeds to Halton Haven. It is really lovely to have such a strong relationship with the nursery and on behalf of everyone at the Hospice we would like to thank you all at Kids Planet; the staff, the children and the parents, for your amazing donation, allowing us to continue offering the services that we do within the community of Halton.”
