Happy New Year!
We all hope you have all had a great Christmas and New Year! With very best wishes for a fun and healthy 2015! There will certainly be lots happening at Banana Moon Hatton.
Our Christmas Album!
We had so much fun during December to celebrate Christmas! The children did some super artwork and Christmas cooking, and all the rooms in the nursery looked so festive with their fantastic displays and decorations! It is a shame to take them all down!
We hope you enjoyed our Christmas Shows – the children did so well putting on three shows in three days! The Christmas Fair was a great afternoon – and the special visit from Santa to our Grotto made it very special indeed! Thank you for all your support. We will be visiting Zoe’s Place in January with our donation.
We hoped your pottery gifts and photos were enjoyed and the children enjoyed reading their Banana Moon Christmas books with you! The children had fun at our Christmas treasure hunt around the Christmas trees in the paddock! And the Christmas party games – pass the parcel, and paint the nose on Rudolph ended a busy month!
Enjoying our paddock:
Please can we ask – again! – for all children to have waterproof warm outdoor play clothes including wellies, hats, scarves and gloves. Could these be named please so that they do not go missing! As the weather is now colder, we do not want your child/ren to miss out on the opportunity to enjoy our wonderful outdoor play space. There is so much for the children to do and explore in our paddock. Thank you.
Partnership with Tescos:
Thank you to Rian’s Mum, Jaspreet, who has introduced us to Sarah Wrist who is the Community Champion for Tescos. Sarah visited the nursery twice in December to spend time with our Pre-Schoolers. They had great fun making Christingles and also snowmen biscuits. Sarah will be coming to nursery every month to support us in a number of the Pre-School projects, including healthy eating. We will be organising a trip for the Pre-School children to visit Tescos in Warwick to see how it all works! We are all looking forward to that! Thank you Jaspreet for the introduction!
Welcome to our new families:
The new year 2015 sees lots of new children starting with us at Banana Moon Hatton. Welcome to you all to the Banana Moon “family”! And a number of our current children will be “graduating” to their next rooms – they are all growing up!
We are registered on the national Day Nurseries website. We would really appreciate it please if you could support us and write a short review about the nursery. The website address is: www.daynurseries.co.uk or click here to go directly to our page. Thank you!
I am sorry to let you all know that Amy (in Teenies Room) will be leaving us at the end of January as she is moving to London. We will all miss Amy – thank you Amy for great work and fun in Teenies. Sophie Richards and Jess Hartshome will be joining the Banana Moon Hatton team on 16th January and 5th February respectively. We look forward to welcoming them both to the nursery and for you all to meet them.
Now that the Christmas decorations are down, the nursery has new activities for the children to enjoy:
The Baby Room:
We have welcomed new children to the Baby Room this year and they are all settling in well to the nursery. The babies are exploring the jungle and the rainforest and will be doing lots of fun activities around this theme. We look forward to walking through the Banana Moon rainforest!
It is chilly in the Teenies Room! – as they are very busy enjoying the Arctic theme and are playing on their Arctic table and doing lots of arts and crafts activities to make their new display boards.
3-2-1 blast off! We are going into outer space in Toddlers! Watch out for the aliens that the children have made and they are working hard on their suns and earth creations.
We have lots of new faces in Pre-School this week – welcome to all our new children! We have also had a delivery of new toys and resources for the Pre-School children to enjoy. The children are enjoying their room change round too!
Every Tuesday is Show and Tell day in Pre-School when the children bring things from home and talk to the group about what they have brought in. The children love it! – and it is great in developing the children’s confidence too!
Home for Unwanted Toys!
Thank you very much to those of you who very kindly donated some great toys to nursery! We do appreciate it. If after the Christmas fun, you are having a clear out and you want a good home for any unwanted toys, we would be happy to have them!! We will make a donation to our chosen charity Make A Wish. Thank you!
Jaspreet Takhar, one of our parents in the Pre-School Room has recently set up her own business selling the Younique cosmetic and skin care products. If you are interested in speaking to Jaspreet, the please contact her on 07966 153516 or email Jaspreet on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please can we remind all parents that payment of nursery fees is by the 7th of each month at the latest. For late payments of nursery fees, a late payment fee of £25.00 will be added to your nursery bill.
Also, if children are picked up late (after 1.00 pm for a morning session, or after 6.30 pm for a whole day or afternoon session) a late fee of £15.00 will be added to your nursery bill.
Our Vegetable Plot:
We are getting our vegetable plot ready for the new planting season. Hopefully our courgettes will be even bigger than last years!
The Car Park:
Could we ask that you drive slowly into the nursery grounds, and also switch your car engine off whilst you are in the nursery please. Thank you.
We would be really grateful if you could keep any empty plastic milk, juice and water bottles, or toilet rolls please – and bring them into nursery. These are great for the children to make their wonderful creations! Thank you!
