On September 8th, the doors were opened for the first time at Twinkles White Rose Nursery; the fifth nursery in the Twinkles Nurseries chain. With space for up to 90 children, this purpose built nursery provides much needed childcare for both employees on site at the White Rose Office Park, and for families in the surrounding areas of Tingley, Morley and beyond. Open from 7.30am-6pm, 51 weeks a year, Twinkles Nursery provides care that is flexible around your working life.
With highly trained and experienced members of staff, an abundance of exciting resources, a huge outdoor play area and fresh home cooked meals, your child will receive the highest standard of care in an environment where they can laugh, learn, play and grow. Catering for children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years of age, you can rest assured that Twinkles will provide your little one with the best care and all the skills needed to give them the best start in life. Here at Twinkles Nurseries we take great pride in building strong relationships with our families and encourage parents to be involved in everyday life at nursery as well as telling us about their time at home with the children.
David Aspin, owner of the White Rose Office Park stated that; “It was important we maintain the quality of The Park as well as offer the very best care to the children of our valued working community and with this in mind we chose Twinkles.”
Around 80 per cent of the workforce at the park are parents, therefore the nursery is providing a vital lifeline. It is said that providing onsite childcare can reduce stress and eliminate worry and because of this an employee's attention is on work and not elsewhere. Having this facility on site can also help in retaining staff, as employees are not forced to look elsewhere for childcare options, and are able to return to work.
When talking about the new nursery, business owner Jill Johnson said: “I am delighted with the new nursery at the White Rose Office Park, which has allowed us to design and build an extremely high quality facility for the children which includes an amazing garden area. The building encompasses many exciting features from our other nurseries around Yorkshire which enables safe, secure and fun development for each individual child.”
On the 11th September the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Leeds attended the nursery cutting the ribbon to officially declare the nursery open. The children had an extra special visitor too, Peppa Pig came to surprise them, which the boys and girls were delighted with! Everyone loved meeting Peppa and showing her around the different rooms at the nursery.
