Construction work has been completed at the new Brinds Well Nursery, in Orpington, after several years of planning.
Built next door to the now former Brinds Well Nursery, the facilities have been purposely designed to suit the creative potential of pre-school children while also boasting an environmentally friendly design.
Powered by solar panels and with underfloor heating, the property is made up of ten separate playrooms, as well as a specialised baby unit and also an IT room, with all rooms having access to a large enclosed garden.
The initial reaction to the design and capabilities has drawn much attention from local parents, many of whom have visited for a tour of the facilities and already enrolled for their child to start in September.
Manager Elaine Berry said: ‘Absolutely everybody who has seen the new building is impressed. The children clearly love it and staff are energised and finding ever more creative ways to maximise learning opportunities and fun within this marvellous building’.
The nursery is registered for up to 130 children, all of whom will receive an age specific learning programme that is child-centred and makes the most of their individual learning abilities.
Brind Wells Nursery is the latest addition to the Childbase Nurseries portfolio, an employee-owned business who have expanded their nursery range throughout the south of England and the Midlands since opening their first facility in 1989, now registered in forty-one locations.
