Tiny Steps Nursery is a family-run nursery with two settings in Manchester. Our Gorton nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and is part of the Sacred Heart Sure Start Centre. We are close to the families we serve and want every child to have the best possible start in life. Our team is friendly and supportive, and we’d like a caring, enthusiastic Level 3 practitioner to join us.

The role

• Plan and deliver play-based learning in line with the EYFS
• Act as key person for a group of children: observe their progress, track it and share it with parents
• Keep the environment safe, clean and stimulating, inside and out
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers from a wide range of backgrounds
• Support children with SEND and EAL, working with the SENCo and outside agencies
• Do care routines, including nappy changing, mealtimes and sleep times

What we’re looking for

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (on the DfE qualifications list)
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
• Paediatric First Aid certificate, or willingness to complete one
• Warm, patient and reliable, and happy working as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Other community languages are an advantage, for example Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic or Polish
