We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. You will help create a welcoming, engaging environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover and develop at their own pace.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years.

  • Supporting children's individual learning and development.

  • Planning and providing fun, engaging activities based on children's interests and needs.

  • Building warm and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

  • Observing, assessing and documenting children's progress.

  • Supporting children's personal care, including mealtimes, toileting and sleep routines.

  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

  • Working as part of a supportive and professional team.

  • Following nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.

  • Supporting both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

  • Taking an active role in our outdoor learning opportunities, including Forest School and Beach School.

  • Supporting children's communication and language development, including the use of Makaton where appropriate.

  • Helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years / Childcare or working towards a recognised qualification.

  • Passionate about working with young children.

  • Warm, caring, patient and approachable.

  • Enthusiastic and creative, with a willingness to get involved in children's play.

  • A good communicator and team player.

  • Reliable, responsible and committed to providing high-quality childcare.

  • Able to build positive relationships with children and families.

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Happy to get involved in messy play, outdoor activities and lots of fun!

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
