This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Level 6 Early Years Teacher, holding either QTS or EYTS, who wants to use their teaching expertise within a nurturing Early Years Nursery environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering a rich and engaging curriculum, supporting children's individual development and ensuring they have the skills, confidence and independence they need as they take their next steps towards school.
At Ruskin House, you'll be part of a supportive team where your professional knowledge and ideas are valued. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on children's learning while continuing to develop your own career.
As part of Inspired Learning Group, you'll also benefit from access to ongoing professional development, training and career progression opportunities across our wider network of independent schools and nurseries.
And now, we're offering 4-day-per-week contracts, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a better work-life balance alongside a rewarding teaching role.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Early Years Teacher, you'll take a lead role in providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences, while helping to shape the curriculum and support the development of the wider Early Years team.
- Teach: Plan and deliver engaging, purposeful and age-appropriate learning experiences that inspire children and encourage curiosity.
- Lead Learning: Use your teaching expertise to develop a rich Early Years curriculum that supports children's individual interests, needs and developmental stages.
- Develop: Support children across all areas of the EYFS, with a strong focus on communication and language, personal, social and emotional development and school readiness.
- Assess: Use observations and assessment effectively to identify children's progress, celebrate achievements and plan meaningful next steps.
- Inspire: Create an environment where children are encouraged to explore, investigate, problem-solve and become confident, independent learners.
- Support: Work alongside practitioners to develop high-quality Early Years practice and share your professional knowledge.
- Mentor: Encourage and support colleagues through modelling, coaching and sharing effective teaching approaches.
- Communicate: Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about children's learning, progress and development.
- Prepare: Help children develop the confidence, independence and key skills they need for a successful transition to school.
- Safeguard: Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety and welfare at all times.
- Contribute: Work closely with the nursery leadership team to continually improve the quality of teaching, learning and provision.
