The Role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Casual Nursery Assistant to support our qualified practitioners in the day to day running of the nursery.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in early years, returning to work, or seeking flexible work around other commitments.

A formal recognised Childcare qualification would be advantageous, although isn’t essential. Just a positive attitude and a genuine interest in working with children.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting staff in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children
• Assisting with activities, play, and learning experiences
• Helping with mealtimes, routines, and general care
• Supervising children and promoting good behaviour and social skills
• Maintaining cleanliness and following health & safety procedures
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual
• Someone reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Willingness to learn and undertake training (e.g., First Aid, Food Hygiene)
• Previous childcare experience is helpful but not essential
