Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner

We are Little Cakes Montessori,  an independent nursery nestled within the grounds of a local nature reserve in Chorleywood. Our unique setting allows children aged 9 months – 4 years to connect with nature while experiencing an outstanding Montessori education. We are a passionate, supportive team that treats our staff like family, offering a unique, tranquil work environment that you won't find anywhere else. We are open 50 weeks a year from 8am - 6pm. We close for a week at Christmas and Easter and there is extra leave in addition to this.

The Role

You will blend Montessori principles with nature-based learning to create stimulating, playful environments. Level 3 practitioners will manage key worker groups and lead child development tracking. Level 2 practitioners will support classroom flows while building the hands-on skills needed to grow their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver EYFS & Montessori: Plan and guide engaging, nature-inspired learning experiences.
• Monitor Development: Observe, record, and celebrate children's milestones.
• Prioritise Safety: Maintain strict safeguarding, health, and hygiene standards.
• Partner with Families: Deliver warm, professional daily updates to parents and carers.

What We Are Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding protocols.
• A love for outdoor, nature-based learning and early years development.
• Your own transport: Our stunning nature reserve location is not accessible by public transport.
• Right to Work: Candidates must already possess the permanent right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
