Nursery Practioner

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development in line with early childhood education standards.
• Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's individual needs and development goals.
• Assist with organising nursery events and outings, ensuring all activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and stimulating for children.
• Support the management team in implementing policies related to child protection, health & safety, and confidentiality.

Required:

• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and compassionately.
• Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to organise activities efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility to adapt to children's needs.
• Driving licence is desirable for organising outings or supporting transport requirements.
