Shooting Stars Nursery in Hinckley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our experienced team. What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll support children's development, wellbeing and learning through meaningful play experiences and everyday interactions. You'll contribute to a caring and stimulating environment that helps every child feel confident, secure and ready to explore.

Key duties include:

  • Acting as a key worker for a group of children
  • Supporting children's individual learning and development needs
  • Delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Maintaining a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
  • Completing observations and contributing to children's learning records
  • Encouraging children's independence, confidence and social development
  • Following nursery policies relating to safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing
About You

We would welcome applications from candidates who have:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 2 applicants may also be considered)
  • Experience working within a nursery, preschool or other early years setting
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and best practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A warm, caring and professional approach to supporting young children
