About the School - Glenesk:
At Glenesk Pre-Prep and Nursery School, we specialise in
providing an exceptional educational foundation for children between
the age of 2 and 7 years old.
We believe that childhood should be a time of wonder,
exploration, and joy. That's why we make it our mission to ensure that
your child's day is filled with special moments of Glenesk magic,
every day.
The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our
fantastic team.
About Cognita:
Cognita is a global leader in independent education. Founded in
2004, we are a growing community of 90 schools in 21 countries - in
Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East -
serving more than 100,000 students. Each of our schools are proudly
unique, however our collective purpose is to create an environment
where everyone can, "Thrive in a rapidly evolving world".
About the Role:
As an Early Years Support Assistant at Glenesk School, you will
play a vital role in supporting a child's learning, welfare, and
personal development. Working closely with the Class Teacher and
SENDCo, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child
access the Early Years curriculum and overcome daily challenges. Your
responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities,
promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the child's safety and
well-being throughout the school day. You will also liaise with
parents and professionals, maintain accurate records, and contribute
to the wider life of the school.
This is a part-time, 1:1 EYFS support role needed for one day
per week (on Tuesdays), working directly with a young child to
support their development and learning. This is a fixed-term
contract dependent on the continuation of the child's local council funding.
