Job Summary

Following our recent OFSTED inspection where our Yeovil Nursery achieved ‘Expected Standard’ we are recruiting for an Assistant Manager. This newly implemented role is an opportunity to lead the day-to-day running of the nursery and work closely with the Early Years Nursery manager at an exciting time of growth. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, rewarding, and career enhancing. 

Up to £35,500.00 per annum
Full-time, 40 hours a week

About the role:

As the Assistant Manager, you will:? 

  • Support the Nursery Manager in leading, motivating, and developing nursery staff to deliver outstanding care and education. 
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding requirements. 
  • Assist with the effective management of nursery resources, occupancy, and budgets. 
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and the local community. 
  • Support staff development, supervision, and training. 
  • Help drive continuous improvement across the nursery setting. 
  • Maintain a safe, calm, and well-organised environment for all children. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare 
  • Proven leadership in an early years setting 
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and regulatory requirements 
  • Excellent organisational, communication and people management skills 
  • A proactive, approachable leadership style and passion for high-quality care
