Job Summary
About the School - Charterhouse Square
Charterhouse Square is a non-selective, co-educational
independent school based in the City of London for students aged 3-11
years. The school has excellent transport links, with the Elizabeth
line, Farringdon mainline and Barbican tube all within a 5-minute
walk. With a friendly and unpretentious approach, Charterhouse Square
School offers education from Nursery and Early Years through to Key
Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
At Charterhouse Square School we believe a happy and
stimulating learning environment is fundamental to academic success.
Students achieve exceptional academic results at 11+ from a broad and
balanced curriculum, with a strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy
but with ample time also dedicated to physical education and the arts.
The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
SENDCO to join our fantastic team.
About Cognita
Cognita is a global leader in independent education. Founded in
2004, we are a growing community of 90 schools in 21 countries - in
Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East -
serving more than 100,000 students. Each of our schools are proudly
unique, however our collective purpose is to create an environment
where everyone can, 'Thrive in a rapidly evolving world'.
At Cognita, we know every student is unique. We nurture their
distinct personalities and strengths. We support them academically,
socially, and emotionally, wherever they are in the world, wherever
they're starting from. And each and every one of our schools is unique too.
We protect what's special about them, while offering them rich
knowledge, opportunities, and best practices. And they get to be part
of something bigger. We open their classrooms to the collective wisdom
of over 90 schools in 21 countries, ensuring every child gets an
education that's, quite literally, world class.
It's an individual approach that empowers every school, teacher
and student to focus on what they do best and thrive.
About the role
As the SENDCo, you will play a central role in shaping our
inclusive approach to learning. You'll lead the strategic development
and day-to-day coordination of our SEND provision, ensuring every

oversee SEND policies, manage pupil assessments and reviews, and
provide professional guidance across the school. From coordinating
tailored support plans to ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of
Practice, you will be a key advocate for inclusive education. You will
ensure every pupil has access to high-quality teaching and a positive
school experience.
This is a full-time, permanent role starting 1 September 2026,
with flexibility for a 1 January 2027 start date for the right candidate.
