Lyth Hill Nursery is a warm, nurturing nursery set in a beautiful rural location just outside Shrewsbury. We provide high-quality care and education for children aged from birth to five years, encouraging learning through play both indoors and outdoors. Our extensive outdoor spaces, forest school experiences and child-centred approach create an exciting environment where children can thrive.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our experienced team. If you are passionate about supporting young children's development and committed to delivering exceptional early years education, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Level 3 Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn and develop.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress, supporting their individual learning journeys.
  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice throughout the nursery.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, safeguarding and welfare at all times.
  • Support daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor learning opportunities.

About You

You will have:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience of working within an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.
  • Experience of outdoor learning or forest school activities.
