Lyth Hill Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our dedicated early years team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated childcare professional to take the lead within one of our nursery rooms, helping to create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day operation of your designated nursery room.
- Creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can flourish.
- Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Monitoring children's progress through observations, assessments, and next-step planning.
- Acting as a key person, building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Supporting, mentoring, and motivating team members to maintain high standards of practice.
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are consistently met.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is completed effectively.
- Working collaboratively with the nursery management team to support continuous improvement and preparation for inspections.
What We're Looking ForEssential:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- Experience supervising or leading a team within a nursery environment.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections.
- Knowledge of child development and inclusive practice.
