Job Summary
Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
We're recruiting for a Part-Time Nursery Manager (up to 35 hours pw) at our new setting in Hackney (E5).
Join our vibrant team and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Working together with the incumbent Nursery Manager, leading independently when required, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of care, and leading staff to deliver exceptional early years education.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the incumbent Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead the Nursery on the days when working independently
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support children’s development.
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED, safeguarding, health and safety requirements.
- Lead, motivate and support staff, including training and performance feedback.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and carers regarding children’s progress and wellbeing.
- Oversee the cleanliness, safety and organisation of indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Manage resources effectively, including educational materials and outdoor equipment.
About You
- Experience in an early years or nursery setting, with sound knowledge of child development.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in childcare.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
- Confident communicator with good organisational and numeracy skills.
- Comfortable undertaking light physical tasks and supporting outdoor learning activities.
- Desire to progress into senior leadership and potential registration
A background in horticulture or outdoor learning would be advantageous.
