Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner
to join our new team. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working
with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating
environment that promotes the development and well-being of young
children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in
supporting children's learning through play and structured activities.
Duties
- Flexibility to provide support during key periods of the day (e.g. Lunch or other meal times) or during scheduled planned activities (e.g. outdoor play or park trips).
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 1-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of each key child, or, for the purposes of planned group sessions.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety and hygiene protocols.
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Expectations and Qualifications
- Display strong skills such as proactivity, being organised, adaptable, and show attentiveness to be a highly effective member of the team.
- Have relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare, with the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children.
- Willingness to journey to nearby nursery activities or outings.
