Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, that helps all children to develop, and meets their individual needs
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, through supporting the delivery of the key person approach
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in daily nursery operations and undertake staff training and development.

Requirements:

  • A valid Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Childcare
  • Previous experience working within the Early Years sector
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Completion of specific training courses.
  • A passion for supporting children to learn and develop.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children and parents.
  • Leadership and management abilities to oversee nursery operations.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Proficiency in English.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure. Please note that it is an offence to apply for a role in regulated activity if barred from working with children.
