The role involves assisting qualified practitioners in delivering high-quality care and educational activities tailored to young children’s needs. The successful candidate will develop essential management and leadership skills while fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged from infancy to preschool age.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, nappy changing, and rest times, ensuring children’s comfort and safety.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, behaviour, and interests to inform planning and individualised care.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding practices.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.

Experience

  • Demonstrated management or leadership qualities are beneficial for future growth within the role.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate flexible transportation arrangements if required.
