About the School - Kings:
King's School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational
independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We
provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Nursery Assistant (Lunch Cover 5 days x 4hrs - Qualified)
to join our fantastic team. This is a lunchtime cover role
and will typically be between 11:30 and 15:30, 5 days per week (total
contacted 20 hours). There will be opportunity for overtime as and
when required. Please note this is a full time and NOT a term
time only position. We are closed over Christmas and bank holidays
otherwise the nursery will be open to provide care for our children.

About the role:
As a Nursery Practitioner (lunchtime cover), you will play a
key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
for children aged 0-3, with occasional work with children up to 11
years old. You'll be actively involved in planning and delivering
engaging learning activities, working within the Early Years
Foundation Stage Framework. You will support the development of every
child, ensuring their well-being, encouraging curiosity, and promoting
positive relationships. From carrying out observations to working
closely with parents, carers, and colleagues, your contribution will
help build a warm, inclusive nursery community. You'll also support
wider school events, staff meetings, and training days as required.

Who we are looking for:
You are a caring, energetic and reliable early years
professional, ideally qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, CCLD, NNEB,
CACHE or equivalent with experience in an Early Years setting. You
communicate well with children and adults alike, and you understand
the importance of safeguarding, inclusive practice, and the Key Person
system. You're hands-on, adaptable, and confident in supporting
children's development through creative and structured activities.

contributing to a happy team atmosphere, you're passionate about
making a meaningful difference in young children's lives.
