Are you someone who spots a spelling mistake instantly, writes naturally in a professional tone, and truly understands how children develop?

We are looking for a detail-focused, knowledgeable Early Years professional to take on a specialist role supporting the quality of teaching and learning across our Greenwich Nurseries.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving practice, mentoring others, and ensuring every child’s development is accurately captured and supported.

You must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship. You will also need to be able to commute to Greenwich, South East London at least four days per week.

About the role

What makes this role different?

This is not a room-based role — it’s a quality and improvement position, ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys coaching and supporting others
  • Has a real eye for detail and high standards

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong EYFS knowledge and understanding of child development
  • Must have worked in Early Years at a nursery, school, or child-minding setting
  • Ideally has a childcare qualification
  • Is highly confident in writing observations and reports
  • Has excellent grammar, spelling and written communication
  • Can confidently review and improve others’ work
  • Has great attention to detail
  • Can manage deadlines and work independently
  • Bring a positive, supportive and professional approach

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing and editing reports before they are shared with parents
  • Supporting staff to improve the quality of their writing
  • Identifying gaps in learning and development
  • Highlighting any concerns or lack of progress
  • Contributing to ongoing quality improvement

  • Your CV
  • A covering letter outlining:
    • Your experience of writing observations and reports
    • Your understanding of child development
    • Why are you well-suited to this role

We are particularly interested in your own written voice and communication style, as this is a key part of the role.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short written task ahead of the interview, followed by a formal interview at the nursery.
